CHRISTMAS EVE DINNER As excitement for the ‘big day’ builds, The Terrace is just the place to spend the night before Christmas. Executive Chef Shaun Anthony has created an enticing menu that both embraces and twists tradition. Make it a classic with chicken pâté, Heritage Diestel turkey and creamy potato gratin, or ring the changes (and ring in the season) with pan roasted scallops and short-rib rigatoni. Our four-course Christmas Eve Dinner at The Terrace is served from 5pm to 9pm, at $195 per person.

Bring the taste of The Terrace to your own patch of L.A. with our festive takeaway menu, created to plate and enjoy at home. An organic Diestel turkey is yours to carve, accompanied by a feast of traditional side dishes – for piling plates high with sweet potatoes and yams, heirloom carrots, and chestnut and sage stuffing. With everything expertly prepared, the only difficulty is deciding which desserts to round off the occasion: the cocoa rich ‘Bûche de Noël’ or a slice of sweet style courtesy of apple or bourbon pecan pies. Our takeaway menu can be ordered in multiples of four and is available for collection from the hotel on Christmas Eve from 2pm to 7pm, and on Christmas Day from 11am – 6pm.

We dined here and I am not sure if the automatic 20% gratuity that is added to the check removed the incentive for our server, but our service was TERRIBLE. We have to flag other people down to ask for service, coffee refills, etc. when she did take our order, she seemed rushed. We even had to flag someone down to get our bill! The restaurant was only about 1/3 filled so it wasn't a capacity issue it was a lack of service issue. As for the food, it was terrific once it arrived. In truth, I almost asked to have the gratuity removed out of principle, but I didn't have the energy to complain - skip this place!

We met friends here for a lovely brunch. The food and ambiance were great. The service was great, until it wasn't. Our attentive waitress disappeared, and a waiter came to take our dessert order (berries with chantilly cream.) After waiting for about 30-40 minutes, we had to ask what was happening with our dessert. It arrived with an apology. Other than this hiccup, it was a very nice time and I will return.

Me and my boyfriend celebrated our 1 year anniversary here, and everything was wonderful! The serving staff was attentive and kind. The food was wonderful. The drinks were nothing short of spectacular. Highly recommend!

The basic menu hasn’t changed in years and they had no specials. Of the four people in our party, three had the grilled salmon. I ordered mine medium rare and I would say it came well done – dr and tasteless. Nobody else finished their salmon either. Very dull. If they didn’t have an exceptional patio, I wouldn’t go back. and extremely over priced. Everything including side dishes basically a la carte.

Everything at the Maybourne is and was outstanding. The only suggestion is the heat lamps are a bit antiquated. The staff have difficulty lighting them and moving them. Took a awhile for someone to heat them and move them and it ended up taking two men to do it. Not an efficient use of valuable staff. And it happens every time we have breakfast, brunch or dinner there. However, the food and the service of the food and the ambiance is wonderful and truly lovely.

I've been here many times, and I'm never disappointed. The food was amazing and our server, Lyle, was "brilliant". I would request him, always. The restaurant/ambience is a definite Plus for Beverly Hills.

Went for tea time at 2pm on a Sunday.I’ll start with saying Excellent customer service from start to finish. The tea time experience was okay, but not worth the value of $125. The tea was good, the sandwiches were generally lackluster. The scones were good too. I’m more than happy to pay any price if the value is worth it, but you are MUCH better off either doing the brunch, or headed upstairs to Dante and enjoy the bar. After the tea experience, our group of 4 headed to the bar and it was great! Ended up catching martini hour (3-5pm), $10 martinis. This was far better than the tea. I’d generally not recommend tea time. There’s other places you can enjoy for a more fairer price.

I have been here several times and always enjoyed the setting and the food. It is of course overpriced because it’s a very nice hotel in the middle of Beverly Hills. You must expect that when you dine at that type of an establishment. It’s always nice to dine outside when you are in SoCal. our reservation was at 3 PM so naturally, it wasn’t very busy. We ordered expecting it would take a little while as it’s fine dinning. When our food finally came we were very happy except one person could not eat her food. It was so overly spiced. They were very kind and offered to replace the dish with something else of her choice. It was after 4:30 when her 2nd meal finally came. It took almost an hour to prepare pastrami and eggs?! . I had to leave to make a 5pm appointment . I thought when I made the appointment, 1 1/2 hours for lunch would be enough time. No manager came over, no updates on why it was taking so long. I don’t mind spending more than average and waiting a little longer if you have great food, great service and great ambience. Unfortunately, because this was not the case,one of my favorite places is now at the bottom of my list.

First, wonderful service in a beautiful setting. Second, food was good but not outstanding Third, prices are ridiculously expensive for what you're ordering. A simple burger with fries is 38 USD, and on top of that, they tack on a 20% service fee and then expect you to leave a tip for your server. I recommend hanging out in the gardens and skipping the restaurant unless you have money to waste. To be fair, they did provide a free dessert because we were celebrating a special occasion.

We made our reservations at the Terrace thinking it was going to be an amazing brunch as we were visiting from out of town and we’re enjoying our stay at the Maybourne. Let me start at the beginning. When we were first sat at a very nice table, our waitress came over and took our order for drinks while we were waiting for our other two guests to arrive. Once our guest arrived, she took the order for our drinks, and then came back to take our food order about 15 minutes after that. After waiting for 45 minutes and not seen our waitress at all and seeing that other tables were getting their food, my husband waved down the person who I assume was in charge not sure if it was management. And told her we had been waiting and had not gotten our food and seen other tables get theirs before us and it was exactly the same type of food we had ordered. She immediately said she would be right back and went to see what was going on. She came back with three of our dishes, which all three of them were cold. And then came back with my husbands omelette, which was cold and rubbery. At this point we had had enough. We should’ve sent all the food back, but since we had waited so long and we’re hungry, we attempted to eat some of the food. After going through all that my husband had to flag down the manager again to get our bill. When we’ve got our bill, it had a 20% gratuity added to it which we refused to pay since we had no service basically. My husband went up to management and had them remove it from the bill. I was extremely disappointed in the service that we received. Considering that it is at a very nice hotel with upscale clientele you would think that their service would be top-notch. I honestly do not think that we would return again, for something that was not even good since it was cold, and had taken so long to get and with the service being so bad.

Food looked nicer than it tasted. Had the black cod, it was cooked perfectly but had very little flavour. The sides were not great. Pasta needed a herb or two, just plain cheese stuffed.
