The Bistro at Muriel’s Jackson Square offers contemporary Creole cuisine with New Orleans classics like Seafood Gumbo, Turtle soup, Shrimp & Grits and Wood Grilled Pork Chop while the Courtyard Bar is the perfect place to drop by for drinks and appetizers. The Séance Lounge is the place for a relaxed, comfortable meeting before or after dining. Comprised of two areas, The Outer Seance and The Inner Séance, the Séance also tells the story of a mystic checkered past. The Outer Séance addresses the New Orleans era of Storyville when Muriel's Jackson Square was one of the French Quarter's top bordellos! The Inner Séance is the preferred domain of the resident ghost, Pierre Antoine Lepardi Jourdan; is the perfect spot for an intimate conversation or a drink among its plush surroundings. The 170 foot wrap-around balcony is a splendid spot for enjoying our specialty cocktails or private label Napa wines.

    Wonderful experience. The weight staff was very attentive. The greeters were awesome and the seance room was great.  I had the pork chops they were fantastic and my guest had the salmon which is great.

    Start to finish this was a dining experience to remember. Staff were attentive and friendly. Food was amazing and drinks delicious. After dinner drinks on the balcony, listening to music in Jackson Square was great. Also enjoyed a visit in the Seance Lounge. 10/10 would recommend!

    We had a reservation for my daughter’s birthday. We arrived army and we’re seated right away. The service was excellent as was the food. I had Muriel’s salad, roasted chicken, and flourless chocolate cake. It was one of my top 10 meals.

    We had Sunday jazz brunch here and it was INCREDIBLE!!! The band was amazing, the food was perfection, and the vibes were immaculate. I recommend Muriel’s to everyone, and specifically the Sunday Jazz Brunch!!!

    Food was amazing, but the service was impeccable (Gabriel and Chloe). The ambiance and decorum were romantical and simply beautiful. Oh yes, we loved being serenade! We will be back soon!

    Day time concierge (male) was a complete turn off. He did not represent the restaurant well- displaying aggravation and annoyance. The food was superb. The ambiance was warm and inviting. Wait service was, again, seemed annoyed. They were more polite, but didn't seem gracious. Staff didn't seem to want to be in the service industry.

    Muriel's offers a unique experience in New Orleans experience that mixes outstanding good food with a close encounter with the super natural. The place has has a mystical atmosphere that feels truly authentic. I look forwards to coming back a sharing a meal with Mr. Jourdan.

    We had a party of four. Three of us ordered the 3 course dinner specials, each of us choosing the double-boned in pork chop as the main entree. The pork chops were tasty but we all thought they were rather dry. I assume they were slightly overcooked. We followed the server’s recommendation for medium temperature. The appetizers were incredible. Most of us selected crème brûlée as the dessert and it was the best we have ever had. One in our party ordered the drum fish and loved it. The ambiance and service were very good.

    Came to celebrate our anniversary and everyone really went above and beyond to make our dinner special. Our hostess was great! At the end our dinner she helped us make a memorable moment by letting us go to the balcony to finish our drinks and takes pictures. The atmosphere was great and the food was delicious!!! Thanks for making our anniversary a memorable moment!

    We came here for my Parent's 50th anniversary and it did not disappoint. 3 of us had the Shrimp and Grits which is a MUST HAVE!! My Dad has the Pork Chop which was huge and so full of flavor. I had the Vampire's Kiss asy cocktail and it went down way to easy. Thanks so much to Jonathan and Alex for great service!! I will recommend Muriel's to everyone that goes to New Orleans to visit!

    We tried Arnouds, Antoines and Muriel's on our recent trip to NOLA and Muriel's was by far the best. Great atmosphere with the made up "ghost" history and except for the chairs it was beautifully appointed and historically interesting. The service was very good although the server was somewhat "in the weeds". The team did check up and follow up through the evening so no complaints. The food was by far the best of the three restaurants. A Must Try is the Shrimp and Goat Cheese Crepes, the Shrimp and Grits was outstanding and the Pork Chop was delicious as well. Flourless Chocolate Cake and Bread Pudding were also delicious. Highly recommend this romantic, historic slice of NOLA

    I had a wonderful meal with my girlfriend celebrating my birthday. We were seated quickly. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food was outstanding! I think it is the best shrimp and grits I have had. I would go back and highly recommend!
