Absolutely wonderful dining experience. Our server, Andy, is the best. We will ask for him again. His recommendations and descriptions of dishes definitely on point . Everything so tasty and fresh - especially enjoyed the Uni Toast, Galbi & the desserts. The ambience of restaurant - modern, clean, upscale. We will definitely be back.

The parking is easy, free with validation next door. The restaurant is large with a moderate noise level but vibrant scene. The food is amazing, every dish was delicious, without a big price tag. Was very satisfied with our experience and will definitely return.

If looks could kill, you'd fall dead upon walking into Terra Cotta. This place is gorgeous! The attention to entail and immaculate work put into the amazingly refined and upscale ambiance and decor is very clear. From personalized lamps and lights in the hugely spacious bar to the dim chandeliers and mirrors that surround the dining area, you get the whole experience with your eyes as you walk in. Why one star shy? The food is great, but it could be better. Wasabi on the tartar is overpowering, shrimp in the fried rice is soggy, and wagyu was overcooked, but it was still a great meal. Starters? The wagyu tartar is honestly quite good. If you can't handle raw beef, don't do it. But if you like egg yolks and taro chips, this is for you. Fried cauliflower with gochujang? Bomb. Crunchy, chewy, slightly spicy. The perfect vegetable side to your meal. As for the mains, the squid ink fried rice is awesome. Huge plate of black rice and juicy clams will satisfy your palate. We also had the wagyu, which was tender and had some decadent mashed potatoes, but it couldn't hold up to the buttery richness of CUT. How do you end the meal? A big bowl of their decadent creme brûlée and the matcha mille feuille to boot. Creamy, rich, green tea heavy. Crispy dough layers. You'll thank me later.

Amazing food! A twist of Asian, with a lot of creativity. The food was exceptional. A mushroom dish was generously served and to die for (do people still say that?), and various seafood created to inspire your pallet with unique Asian, some with Peru-Asian (Nobu chef) influences. The highlight was the perfectly created Old Fashion and Michael, the late night server. He had an amazing persona and hilariously funny. What a gem of a find. They are updating the decor to warm It up a bit. It's currently too clubby, noisy and distracting for the amazing food the chef turns out. We are definitely going back!

Their dishes were taste good, however, compare to the price, I would say it is over valued. Dishes didn't serve in order, some of main dishes served before the appetizer so that a few of our friends had to finish their dishes before others. Servers were nice and kind, however, they don't come to you unless you call them. Wine didn't server properly and a server didn't ever know how to open the wine bottles. Lighting was a little bright, they should lower the dimmer. Terro Cotta should be a lot more professional if they want to keep it as fancy high end restaurant.

We ate here because of its proximity to the Wiltern Theatre, but it was such a wonderful experience that I would go again even if not attending a show! The interior is dramatic and beautiful with contemporary crystal chandeliers, our service was fantastic, and the food very good.

The ambiance and drinks were pretty nice, however for the price of the dishes, the serving size and lack of flavor in some dishes was somewhat disappointing. We ordered oysters, uni rice, and galbi to split. The oysters and garnish were great, but the uni rice left a lot to be desired. I was also disappointed that there was no salmon roe included as I had seen in some pictures online. As for the galbi, it was cooked to perfection - but for being deemed a sharing dish, the proportions were not impressive.

Food was very good but the biggest problem with this new restaurant, besides the noise level, was the Valet. With no one waiting we waited 30 minutes for our car. The restaurant does not want to pay for a lot closer to their space thus they park the cars a mile away. A horrible way to end a dining experience. We will not be back because of this fact. Hopefully they open a similar restaurant on the west side. It could do well.

I went to Terracotta on a Saturday night. I arrived on time and had a reservation for 2, but my dining partner cancelled on me. I was hoping that since I'd made a reservation, I would be seated at a table, but I ended up at one of the communal tables in the bar area instead. The bar was packed! I know this is a hot spot, but I wasn't expecting such a full bar area. The service was good, but the server was obviously overloaded. He was very nice and funny but there was a long wait between water service, cocktail service, ordering and check-ins. He did a good job though. I ordered a cauliflower dish and the uni rice (which was off menu). Both dishes were tasty but didn't blow my socks off. My only complaint was that being in the bar area, people would crowd around me and rest their drinks on my area of the table. One guy who'd had a few too many took my water glass, drank it and took my bottle of water back with him to the bar! I would have been less shocked if I were a walk-in or I was at an open setting bar table, but I had a reservation. Something for the restaurant to think about. I'd return, but maybe only on a weeknight or Sunday.

Ran out of the Uni rice so didn't get a chance to try that. What a shame, we heard good things, but that kinda ruined the evening. The seafood paella was really salty but the drinks were good. Would go back for the bar, but not for the food.

this restaurant is more of a scene than anything else. ppl are dressed up like at a club and food and drinks are subpar. style over substance, unfortunately. the octopus and hamachi were probably the only things that were ok. the whole chicken was something i could get at a ktown beer spot that charges a fraction. the squid ink fried rice was a bit on dry side and i couldn't taste the kimchi. it was a creative idea but don't think executed very well. we were also asked to move tables mid-way and weren't given any complimentary items for the inconvenience. the drinks were 99% ice and rather watered down. i won't be returning b/c i value food more than the scene. i'm not into hot spots if it isn't supported by solid food and drinks.

Came here twice. First time on Valentines Day and the second time for a birthday celebration over the weekend. Both times that I went my experience was underwhelming. There was so much hype about the restaurant that I was really looking forward to go. The first time they literally ran out of every single item I wanted to order. To make matters worse, getting ANY staff attention took way too much effort. It took a good 5 minutes just to ask the waiter to change my knife that had disgusting dried greens stuck to it. Then it took another 10 minutes just to get our food in. We had to settle for whatever was left on the menu that I didn't have a whole lot of interest in ordering but we didn't have much choice. The second time around I did get to try everything that I wanted to, but some of the dishes were not as good as I expected it to be. I was especially confused by the mushroom dish. The uni rice and the squid rice was not bad. One person in my group commented that 'the pasta tastes exactly like the frozen food dinners that he used to eat when he was a child'. And again, it's almost like the staff was intentionally trying to avoid making eye contact with you. At one point I literally sat there with my hand held high for a good minute until someone looked my way. Another time I just got out of my table and walked across the room to chase down a waitstaff to come to our table. For the size of the restaurant they are EXTREMELY understaffed, especially on a Saturday night. I don't know if they are trying to cut corners to save money by understaffing the restaurant or something, but it's not smart. It really affects the quality and the experience for the diners. I literally live across the street so I was really hoping this would become a go to spot for me, but it just missed the mark for me. It's a good vibe to go drink and hang out, but I wouldn't go again for the dining experience. It's a little draining.

DON'T GO TO THIS RESTAURANT! What a let down! I read great things about this place so I went with the expectation that I would have great food! This is not the case. Uni Rice: This dish was terrible. The Uni was not fresh! It tasted like an aquarium WHICH IMPLIES IT WASNT FRESH. They also COOKED THE CAVIAR IN THE RICE! Who cooks caviar?! Any one who knows any thing about caviar knows if you cook it it loses any of its flavor and become like little pellets. Disgraceful. Salmon: was covered in butter. So much so my gf and I called it 'placenta salmon'. Hamachi Collar: also a disappointment. It was unevenly cooked. The white meat was dry and the darker meat was mushy. The seasoning was seriously off. The dipping sauce was also strange as it didn't compliment the hamachi well at all! The carrot and beet salad was the best thing we ate. And it was...bland. We laughed through the meal because each dish was worse than the last. There were serious egregious offenses. And it isn't a wonder the place wasn't really at capacity on a Friday Night. I thought it may have been the rain but after eating we figured it was the food. A foodie nightmare.

We had been looking forward to going to Terra Cotta for some time since it reopened. We had a reservation for 8p (day after Valentine's Day) and we assumed everything would be timely. They didn't seat us until 8:30p - nor did they provide an explanation or just check in on us from time to time. Once we sat down - they were pretty much out of most of their 'known' dishes (Tomato & Lobster, Uni Rice, Filet Mignon and steak tartare) - pretty much all of the dishes we wanted to try. We thought this was odd given that our reservation was on the earlier side of dinner. In any event - we ate and the portions came out uneven and not consistent throughout the entire evening. Although sitting us down late and not having quite a few dishes on their menu - they didn't offer to comp drinks or anything. Service was lacking and the venue extremely loud. We will probably not visit this place any time soon.

If you want to skip the all you can eat Korean BBQ places this is a great option! More like Korean fusion. The décor was very cool with high ceilings and art deco chandeliers. We ordered the Toro Takaki, Tomatoes with Lobster and BBQ Ribs. All dishes had great texture and flavor. Just wished we had more people with us to be able to try more dishes. A great place for a family style evening. The service was awesome and the staff made sure that we enjoyed all our dishes and took the time to ask if we were celebrating a special occasion, which happened to be my birthday. Dessert showed up with a candle. Very thoughtful. Parking was ez at Ralph's in the back with 3 hours free parking with restaurant validation. Coming here is an experience, worth a visit.

The noise level is not energetic, it was a crappy loud rave techno annoyance. It seemed very confused, is it a cheesy night club or a restaurant. Service was the worst ever experience of my life. Coco's service was far superior. But the bus boy was awesome.... thank you Arturo. I would not recommended this place to my worst enemy.

Service is way over the top fantastic. Manager came over to apologize for the kitchen running out of the filet mignon. We ordered extra ribs, but the chef noticed, and sent out the manager again to say chef could prep a filet but not as described on the menu. What we got was AMAZING. with black truffles and awesome sauce. Everyone who works here super nice and attentive. It's super fun. The cocktails are great. The ginger rodriguez turned out to be a fave for all. Food is inventive.
