Tavernonna offers a beautiful ambience and friendly service, with some diners praising the "wonderful" five-course meals for special occasions. However, experiences are mixed, with some guests noting issues with menu accuracy, food temperature, and service attentiveness. The standout lobster mac & cheese remains a favorite among patrons.

Nice restaurant in the lower level of the hotel. The menu is simple but intriguing. I opted for the salmon piccata which was amazing. The cream sauce wasn't too heavy and the pasta complimented it all very well. Table mates had the carbonara and it looked amazing; they agreed it tasted the same. We also had the lobster bites appetizer; could have done without the deep fried shell, but I suppose it added some decor to an otherwise normal 'bites' dish. Atmosphere was great and we were there early around 5pm so it was rather quiet. We would definitely return to try more.

My girlfriend and I came on the Sunday evening after the 4th of July, 2025. We were shocked at first but how empty the location was. Initially on arrival we were the only non staff. Later we were one of 3 tables with patrons. No patrons were at the bar. I share this to give context to the rest of my review. It was nearly 20 minutes between being seated by the host and the server taking our drink order. During which we indicated we wanted an appetizer. After another long wait for the drinks she finally returned and we ordered the appetizer. My girlfriend was through her drink before the appetizer arrived. Just before that point we were finally asked for our dinner order. We ordered the calamari appetizer and were provided no share plates and defaulted to the coffee cup saucers. The batter and sauces were good, but the calamari itself was more cooked than expected. Two of the pieces seemed to have bone slivers in it for some reason? Still, it wasn't bad overall, just average, and unexpected given the price tag. The entrees were good, she ordered the Salmon Picatta, I ordered the Pollo Cremoso. Both arrived faster than the appetizer. And were of good quality. Nothing spectacular, but good solid dishes. The chicken of my dish was juicy, and went well with the sauce. The mushroom risotto was at best okay. In ordering her Salmon Picatta, my girlfriend had them substitute the asparagus for broccolini. It was extremely difficult to cut with the provided knives which were better suited for buttering bread. It was somewhat easier for our main dishes but not by much. If we had received better service or the food quality was higher, we would've gone for dessert. Instead we headed back to our accommodations after I paid the check. We had been very excited about going, and hoped to in the future try Le Petit Chef. That is up in the air now honestly. Again, this food was good, it was better than the average of similar cooking style places. But just not spectacular.

Fran did a wonderful job - and as always the food was delicious! The new menu items were great, however the lobster mac & cheese remains a favorite. Looking forward to our next visit :)

Their menu online is not up to date. The menu from the lobby in the hotel is not updated either. It is the same one as online. They stated that they haven't had that menu since January. This is May 31. The menu they are showing is half the size. We wanted the squid ink dish for $45. The only thing remotely close to anything we would want was a $70 plate per person. Out came with 4 or 5 small slices of beef tenderloin, only ONE unseasoned grilled butterflied shrimp, one half of a small lobster tail, mashed potatoes and broccolini. It was all cold except the mashed potatoes. We could not cut out steak or chew it enough to swallow. They waitress went to get the chef to come out but they didn't. They just decided to completely our meals. It was our anniversary. We were really looking forward to eating at this restaurant. It was a huge disappointment. We ate the one shrimp and the lobster tail. A couple bites of potatoes. That was all. I gave our waitress a$20 tip and told her it wasn't her fault for the menu or the way our food was prepared.

Where to start. I was not impressed with this restaurant at all. Our reservation was scheduled for 8pm in which we arrived on time. We waited to be seated and didn't get seated until around 8:10pm. Mind you the restaurant was not packed. We were eventually seated at a table that was not sturdy, rocking back and forth the entire time (couldn't eat or enjoy our time comfortably. Our waiter was not attentive at all. We waited 10 minutes before our drink order was taken, waited another 10 minutes for our drinks to be delivered and orders taken. The waiter never asked how we wanted our meats cooked, therefore we had to remind him of how we wanted them prepared. Waited 20 minutes for our food to be delivered. Food was delivered barely warm and not in total. I ordered the lamb chops which was suppose to come with garlic mashed potatoes and ordered an additional side of mac and cheese that was not included with the meal. I didn't receive my mashed potatoes and when I asked the waiter where the mashed potatoes were he stated that he thought I wanted them in place of the mac. Not once while ordering did he ask if I wanted the mashed potatoes replaced with the mac. The mac is an add on item from the menu, therefore ordering mac means addition to the meal. About 5 minutes later they brought out cold mashed potatoes. The food was quite salty and unbearable to eat to the point it made my stomach turn. We then had to tract the waiter down to get our check which totaled 154.00. Overall, we will not be returning.

The squid ink pasta was amazing! The shrimp and lobster were cooked perfectly.

The ambiance of the restaurant was beautiful, and the customer service was excellent—staff were friendly and attentive throughout our visit. We ordered a lemon drop with tequila, an Old Fashioned, and a whiskey sour; unfortunately, none of the drinks were prepared correctly, which was disappointing, especially on a busy Saturday night. For dinner, we ordered the salmon, lobster bisque, and several appetizers as we were celebrating a birthday. While the lobster bisque was decent, the rest of the food did not meet expectations. The salmon was overcooked and served cold, and overall, the quality of the dishes did not reflect the price point. We shared our concerns with our server, Liz, who was very understanding and provided excellent service. One highlight of the evening was the birthday dessert, which we all enjoyed. While the service and atmosphere were standout, the food and drinks left much to be desired. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend the restaurant based on this experience.

Took over an hour for our food to arrive from when the order was placed. In fact, half our party had to leave because they had to get to a team meeting and never thought the dinner would take over 2 hours. Worse, the restaurant was not crowded at all. The food was tasty, except one plate was cold… ice cold pasta.

Average food. Server seemed never to have been to a restaurant outside of a fast food place. Very convenient if you’re going to the Folly theater. Good wine selection.
