The check-in staff was a bit rude, taking another patron first out of turn. The remainder of the staff were excellent. The camembert appetizer was excellent, the salads were so-so, and the beef wellington was slightly underdone. The dessert was very dry cake. So, overall the food was a miss for the cost of this restaurant. The service was excellent except for the host. The place was pretty loud with large groups and work events happening. Not sure we will be back.

Food was excellent as was the service, most attentive. Valet parking is available. The street level entrance to Avant is not apparent at Valet Parking, it's to the left, not thru the main entrance. Ambiance is quite nice if not overwhelming, perhaps a step below Flemmings but very acceptable. The mood was upscale with a very moderate background noise level easily enabling intimate conversation. Definitely a place I will visit again.

Went out for an impromptu date night and 10/10 would recommend Avant! The food was exceptional as well as the service. We sat outside, thank goodness for space heaters! Had a lovely evening. Looking forward to returning.

Sunday Brunch at Avant was amazing! Our servers Madelyn and Steven were awesome and very attentive. We just found out about the brunch but will definitely come again. We were told that Avant may be stopping the brunch, but we hope that's not the case!

Excellent brunch. Lots of different foods, all well prepared. Lobster Mac n Cheese, Egg scramble bar, charcuterie, just to name a few. Great service, lovely location. Parking can bean issue.

This was a buffet brunch with champagne. The food was excellent. There were many high end, varied, and beautifully presented selectons which were frequenty replenished. The service was also excellent and our server was attentive and personable. Plates were cleared frequently and champagne was free flowing. There was a guitarist entertaining guests, discreetly positioned so as to be heard but not imposing. The grounds are beautiful and there is both indoor and outdoor seating. There were only two negative issues worth noting. For the price of $85 per person, there should be a carving station with various sections and an offering of eggs benedict in some form with hollandaise sauce or at least this sauce made available. These two iconic buffet selections were noticebly absent. In addition, apparently a recent trend, was the mandatry additional 20% charge which was listed on our voucher (TravelZoo) as a "gratuity" but on the check as a "service charge". When questioned, the manager explained that this 20% was to be divided among ALL the staff including cooks, bussers, hostess, station servers, and our waiter. This is obviously really an extra charge to cover their business expenses which in our opinion should NOT be passed on to customers in the form of an extra charge, but included in their bottom line. Traditionally, a waiter or bartender is tipped per service provided and comensurate with the quality of that service. They then tip staff that has aided them in that service. This new practice of adding an extra charge for "the rise in costs", the new "minimum wage" and other normal business expenses is unacceptable. Avant had stated on their voucher that this was a gratuity (ok) when in fact..as stated on the check itself..it was a service charge to cover their business expenses (not ok). This "bait and switch" in wording resulted in our feeling that we needed to tip our waiter in addition to this fee so that he would get a tip according to his service to us.

Beautiful dining room and friendly servers. But we honestly found food a bit pretentious, not very flavorful, and very pricy. Artistic presentation beautiful, but not our style. Great setting and great location. I would recommend if you appreciate the beauty in which plates are presented.

We celebrated 2 birthdays so decided to go somewhere extra nice. AVANT is a nice restaurant that’s part of a country club. The servers were great, but it took a long time to get drinks, an even longer time to get food. Our server apologized several time and comped us desert which was also lovely. Definitely on the pricier side, but drinks were great and the food was too once it arrived. Luckily we were in no hurry.

I think if you are not a big seafood eater it is ok, would have preferred omelets to the scramble. Plenty of champagne offered. Weird that you have to go get your own coffee.

Server & support were excellent. Food was good - 8 on a 1-10 scale. Variety good. Could not find butter, which should be easy to locate. Butter at waffle station was out, and I was told "oh, the guy went to refill it." He didn't come back. Desserts were not very interesting. A slice of pie would have been nice. Ice cream too. Desserts were cruise ship buffet fare, but not as good or varied. Could have been homier. The overall venue is nice and always has been. Overall experience was perhaps 75% of what I expected from the price, even adjusting for inflation.

We came for the brunch on Sunday, which is $85 per person. About 35 minutes into our meal, we came back to our table (self serve buffet) to discover that everything was cleared by the waitstaff which we couldn't believe. My husband had left his phone and hand sanitizer on the table. I am glad that I brought my purse with me (otherwise that would have disappeared from the table). The waitstaff did take my husband's things. They were apologetical. This is was our first time at the AVANT and I don't think we will be back again. Why would you clear a table if your patron hasn't finished nor even had paid for the brunch but I guess they didn't think about it because they wanted to clear the table as fast as possible for the next patrons.

This place was AMAZING!!! The food was to die for! Everything looked nicer and fancier than the rest, but it all tasted beyond anything we could have imagined!! Absolutely delicious!!! And our server Stephen attentive, personable, kind, and friendly! Would most definitely love to go again!!

A great brunch with an incredible offering of food from omelets, fresh fruit and pastries to sushi, pasta and lobster mac & cheese. Bottomless mimosa's are also a nice addition. The service was great and the staff was attentive and friendly.

Avant was a great place to experience fine dining. The food was amazing with so many different flavors you are not used to experiencing. The atmosphere was perfect for celebrating a special occasion. I had a wonderful experience at Avant.

Waited over half an hour for seating despite a 12:45 reservation. Hostess seemed confused and bewildered. Food was mediocre and displayed in a very unappealing way. Absolutely no service or attention, and they really weren’t busy, just disorganized. After we finished, we found that there was an omelette and waffle station on the other side of the desert station in the corner of another room. All of this for over $200 (including a 20% banquet service charge!?) for two of us. We could have had a much nicer brunch and far better food at our local deli for under $75.

Overall a wonderful dining experience, lots of food to cover everybody’s taste. Separate seafood bar, four other round tables full of various foods. One table had salad ingredients, another various meats in sauces, another with various vegetables and another with cooked fish dishes and lobster Mac & cheese. Our champagne glasses were constantly being refilled and there were juices to add should you want, also teas and coffees. Also an omelette and waffle station. Every member of staff was very helpful and friendly. It is buffet style though. The grounds are gorgeous and next time the men would love to play golf!

We wanted to try out this place for brunch for awhile. We were excited. It is a nice restaurant, good ambiance although we were seated at a small table around the bar. Very noisy. The food was not great and the seafood didn’t taste as fresh as it looked. We had to ask for water and had random people serving us champagne and clearing dishes. Would have been nice to have a dedicated server. They hit us with a mandatory 20% service charge which I felt was excessive considering we had to get up and get our own food since it is buffet style. The food selection was large but hard to navigate as there were three different areas… overall disappointing and won’t likely return for brunch.
