The menu features Chef Santos' signature multi-ethnic dishes including: Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup Dumplings, Tuna Poke Wonton Tacos, and Oven Braised Chicken Meatballs. Food taste bad (most dishes overly salted & taste bad). Live performance by the jazz band (amuture - musicians in training). The decore is about 3/10, dated, and nothing special. (the dining area is very small) Will not dine here again! However, despite the bad food the waiter was extremely a nice and attentive person.

We had such a great time celebrating our friend’s anniversary. The food was excellent. We especially enjoyed the poke wonton tacos, Thai chili crispy shrimp and the branzino! To top it all off the butter cake is to die for. Our servers Jimmy and Nicole were perfect! They are a great duo. Th menu suggestions were on point and the service was impeccable. Can’t wait to go back

We had a wonderful experience here on Friday night. We came to celebrate our seventh anniversary, so we wanted to get a little dressed up and do something special. This place fit the bill beautifuly for us. Not only is this space beautiful, and the people watching fun, but the service was exemplary. And the food was truly a notch above. 🙏 We started with the Grilled Cheese, Smoked Bacon and Tomato Soup Dumplings, which were very flavorful and fun. Although we both agreed that while the "plating" was fun, a bowl of the soup and dumplings would have been better. The dumplings themselves were a bit too big for one bite, plus more soup please! It was delicious ❣️ And even though we wanted to try a couple of other small dishes, neither of us would let go of the two things we each had to have. My partner had to have the Hanger Steak (he love it) and I got the Salmon with Anciet Grains, which is new to the menue. It was Awesome!!! Great flavors in the grains, lovely mustard on the side, very well balanced. And to round out, we had the Carrots, which doesn't say there was mint, but I swear there was and sooo yummy! We will definitely be going back again and look forward to telling you all about it 🤗

I gave this a 3star rating because i had reserved my table as "outside" seating. And then got sat inside without explanation. I had to go ask why not outside. And they told me it was getting chilly and they didnt have heaters. It was 78 degrees out -_-. If i knew we were gona sit inside, maybe i wouldve gone elsewhere. After, we had 3 different waiters. Or people coming up to us asking for orders or water. It was a bit chaotic trying to keep up with who was waiting us. Ended up at a table that was in very close proximity to another one. So we were eating side by side with a random couple for our anniversary. They did give us complimentary chocolate cupcakes for anniversary dessert so that was nice. Drinks were a 7/10. Food was 7/10. I wouldve preferred and enjoyed the outside seating as it is more a vibe i was going for with my wife. I love the speakeasy vibes with the pawn shop front. That was a great touch. So that for me was a 10/10. Overall. Not the best experience but it was good.

Oh my gosh! This place is literally so gorgeous. We came for happy hour and specifically reserved an outside table, but they didn’t have that available so they made a wonderful accommodation for us!! While we may have been the exception, it made our night 1000x more magical. The elote ravioli is by far the best thing I’ve had recently. 10/10 would recommend. Also shout out to Addison our server for being fun and fabulous!!

Convenient valet parking was the beginning of our relaxing evening. The hostess was friendly and our table was ready when we arrived. The food was great and the whole vibe was pretty chill. Our wedding anniversary celebration at B&E couldn't have been better!

Went for my wife's birthday and we had an amazing time. The staff was great at acknowledging her birthday without it being over the top. First time for both of us but I've already recommended it to 5 friends. It's not a quiet intimate restaurant but it's lively and a lot of fun.

This is an amazing restaurant. Daniel our waiter was superb, and helped us choose our food - the lamb and fillet were excellent. Great ambience even at 6.45pm the place was buzzing - highly recommend!

Despite his efforts with our 8 person group, our server failed miserably. Took a hour to order, and the sequence of tapas style shareable food arriving at once much later didn’t help. Drink refills a problem. And the server had far too many tables to navigate. The only saving grace was the live band playing in the bar area. We won’t be back.

Reserved outside table and was told outdoor seating was closed when we arrived. We were seated in a very crowded and extremely loud dining room. It was hard to have a conversation. Service was excellent which made up for the ambiance.

Beauty & Essex was so awesome for my daughter's 16th birthday. We had a party of 10 and they took care of everything beautifully. We brought our own cake and they took it from me as soon as we checked in, then brought it out with candles lit at just the right time. Food was yummy - pizza, grilled cheese dumplings, mac and cheese, and chicken dish were a hit with the teens. They were awed by the ambience and decor of the place. Highly recommend for a fun, special occasion event.

If I could give a zero star, I would. My husband and I went here to celebrate my birthday. For starters, mac & cheese w/ lobster is really good. For entree's we got hanger steak, lamb chop and bone in steak. We asked for medium rare and they gave us "raw" steak. What ruined the day is the short dish runner guy, he was serving our food and my husband asked him to repeat what he said and he snapped, me and my husband just looked at each other because that guy just yelled at him and he even added "ok??" after. Our server forgot the drink my husband ordered. Overall experience is BAD. This place better step up their game because LAVO ristorante is also under TAO and it's definitely 100x better. I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. DON'T EVEN BOTHER (:

I saw all the great rooms and outdoor seating areas online and was very disappointed that they were all closed except the dining room off the bar. You should clarify on your website these area are only open on weekends. We had also requested outdoor seating and we were told it was not available. Later in the evening they let others sit out there even thought the dining room was not full? We weren't sure whether our 5th person would be able to join us and we were waiting for her to text us as she was in a meeting nearby that was wrapping up. We suggested just setting the table for 5 but the hostess said we had to wait in the bar until we heard from her!! We finally just told her to set it for 5 that she was on her way (come on - it takes 30 seconds to change the table setting and it wasn't at all busy in the restaurant as several wait staff just hanging out). Sharing/family style dining is cool but it is way too complicated once you start to order regular food and shared items - how many pieces you get, etc. We have eaten this style many times before without a problem but this was unusually complicated. Our waitress was good and ver attentive. However, wait staff would swoop down as soon as a plate was empty and take it away - all good except they took my drink that wasn't done and didn't ask if I wanted another (it was an Arnold Palmer so I wasn't drinking or over served). All-in-all, very disappointing experience when we were expecting so much more. Might be completely different vibe on the weekend but we won't be back to try it.

Wait time was too long for food. Some customers who arrived after my party received their meals prior to my table. Waiter was attentive although it appeared he may have had too many tables to service. Scallops were too salty, but other dishes were very tasty. Overall, nice experience. I would probably return.
