   We came for Mother’s Day and had an amazing experience! I have been here before and have always had a great experience. Food and drinks were delicious. Service was great! We had a good dinner. Can’t wait to come back😊

   Took my wife and kids for Mother’s Day Brunch and we had a fantastic time! Reva, our server, was great! Food was fantastic and the ambience was made it comfortable. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend Red O!

   Mother’s Day brunch experience was disappointing. The buffet was very average for the price, and drinks weren’t included, which wasn’t made clear beforehand — I had to pay extra for a simple coffee. We also had issues with our table that took a while to resolve, which made the experience feel disorganized. Overall, not worth what we paid, especially for a special occasion. Valet parking disorganized had to wait 20 minutes.

   From valet to wait staff to food it was a great experience. The manager checked in on us and we enjoyed everything.

   Service and Food on a mother level. Beautiful experience for my daughter’s birthday and an early Mother’s Day. Kevin our server was amazing, top notch and personalized the experience for our party with remembering all of our names. Lisa the General Manager was very present and stopped by several times to make sure everyone was happy. Thanks so much for a memorable experience, cannot wait to go back!

   Red O is my "go to" when I want the best upscale Mexican cuisine. I am a huge fan and advocate for this restaurant so I feel inclined to only want to write nice things. The good news is that the food is still amazing. The duck taquitos are easily the best I've ever had and the margarita was excellent. The oysters were a bit small but the flavor and presentation were exceptional. On the downside, the service has seen better days. Usually, the service is on point, but I have to say, the last 2 times have been underwhelming if I'm being honest. The server on this last visit (we were in the bar so I want to say he was also a bartender) was nice but inattentive as he rarely checked on us. At one point, I even had to go up to the bar to order something which was then forgotten as the item only came after we reminded him when he later stopped by. Again, he was nice but put very little effort in. I hope it was just an off-day for him yet encourage the staff to brush up on their service cycle. Also, charging for chips and salsa - even though we were warned it was no longer free - is not a good idea. Yes, I understand Red O is an upscale restaurant but this is a standard convention for most Mexican restaurants. I can only hope this policy gets revisited unless the idea here is to steer guests towards more profitable menu items.

    This is our go to restaurant anytime we’re at UTC in La Jolla. The service is great and they have the best chicken quesadillas in San Diego!
