   We made reservations for 7 at 3:30 on Easter, and at 4 o'clock we still hadn't been seated and the manager and the hostess were nowhere to be found because they had a lot of people who hadn't been seated yet, and so after waiting almost an hour with no one to speak to, we left. I know businesses have staffing issues so if that is an issue, then you just shouldn't be open for an important holiday.

   We had a reservation at 1pm but didn’t get seated until 2pm. I know we had a large party but that’s why we made a reservation. Our server Wyatt was awesome.

   We went on Easter Sunday for the Easter menu. The drinks and the staff were great, the food was not rave-worthy, but our mimosas were delicious

   Signed up for brunch with a reservation at 11:30. Seated at 11:45 only to find out brunch was not an option. Told we were out of the time window for the brunch. Only thing available was the 3 course meal at $35 a head. We left and had a great breakfast at Snooze. Very disappointing.

   This was our first time to Mimi's after reading reviews and trying it we will definitely be back. We had Kendra as our waitress and didn't realize until talking with her she had only been there 4 weeks. She was amazing and with the number of tables she had, she did a great job. We started with the spinach dip, orders were the honey walnut salmon, ribeye and chicken parmesan. I also ordered the French Onion soup and it was fantastic. We all shared the butter toffee dessert which was amazing served hot with ice cream. We've been coming to Colorado Springs for 3 years as we have a cadet at USAFA and wished we'd found it sooner. Looking forward to thw next visit. Kendra you did an amazing job. Thank you!

   For having reservations, we still had to wait 30 minutes to be seated. Once we were seated, we had to wait a bit for the waitress to take our drink order and we just decided we were ready to order our meals at the same time. They had 4 specials: Chicken Cordon Bleu Braised Ribs Grilled Salmon Stuffed Pasta Shells She did tell us that they were out of the chicken dish, which was my first choice. So both my wife and I ordered the braised rib meal. The waitress came back out a few minutes later telling us that they were out of the Ribs. So we both changed our order for the Fish for me and Pasta for my wife as she doesn't eat fish. At this time, we were also told that they were out of 2 of the 3 desserts that were part of the Valentine's specials. Being Valentine's Day, we wouldn't be able to get in anywhere else so we stuck with the restaurant and waited for our meals which took a while. While we were waiting we were listening to other couples who were seated over an hour after their reservation and at the point the restaurant was out of salads and 3 of the specials and offered the everyday menu to order from for them. We finally got our meals, which weren't our first choice. The fish was tough and dry and my wife said the pasta was OK and took half home. Once we finished, it took a bit for them to bring out our desserts which consisted of unripe strawberries in a martini glass with chocolate drizzled over it. We ate some of it, but the strawberries were bitter and hard. During the time we were dining, we heard from our waitress that others were leaving because of how long it was talking to get meals out. I don't blame them at this point. Once we got the bill, I asked to speak with the manager. Once she came over, I asked for some compensation on the check as they didn't stock up and plan for the specials they were offering, which is on management, not the wait staff. We did get one meal compensated but didn't makeup for our special day out.

    Honestly, From what I’ve heard Mimi’s is a great place. However, for Valentine’s Day they fell short. Our reservation was for 6:45PM it took until 7:25 to be seated. It was very apparent they were short staffed. The host was patient and greeted us kindly, once seated the waitress came over and said she wasn’t having a great night as many of her tables walked out because food was taking over an hour. When we go to order from the valentines experience we were told that 2 of the 4 options were already sold out. We waited about 20 minutes for our bar drinks that never came, so we made the decision to leave as well. This was no fault of the wait staff but a higher issue in the business. The Valentines experience was supposed to be from Feb 14-17, but they were already out of things. Price wise seemed fairish, but a little fluffed for the holiday. Overall, I’ll try again in the future but they were set up for failure from the get go.
