Fabulous experience! Bruschetta appetizer done perfectly. Strawberry feta salad was just incredible. Tried the coconut curry tofu meal for vegetarian option and was quite good (and healthy too). The homemade apple tart is a must-wow! The view overlooking Coachella valley stunning. Service attentive, friendly, and excellent. Sofia was awesome as our waitress!

Birthday dinner with my girlfriend on Saturday night. Pros: Gabrielle, our server, was very good. The other staff were very attentive and overall the service was very excellent. Great ambience and views. Riding on the tram made the night more memorable. Cons; The food and especially the alcoholic beverages are over priced in my opinion. A glass of a middling wine is $15 - $28. and cocktails are $24.00. We purchased a bottle of Pinot Noir for $78.00 which I could buy for $19.00. I had the rack of lamb and my date had the Osso Buco. The lamb dish was very good and the meat was tender, served with mashed potatoes and sautéed spinach. The Osso Buco was pork shank instead of the traditional veal shank. The polenta portion was small and overall the dish was good but not traditional and I would not recommend it. The dessert selection was very average offerings and we did not order any. I was hoping this was more of an upscale place to take a date but the patrons tend to be a mix of tourists and other visitors which are almost entirely very casually dressed. So, I would consider this a cut above the café but not a place to expect a high dining experience.

Mac and cheese was good for my guest. They liked the pulled pork on top. I had the chicken sandwich which was not even warm. Seemed like it was a microwave one from Costco. Then they forgot mayo, lettuce, and tomatoes which was wilted when it did come out. To be fair I had to change the sandwich as I have a dairy allergy, but that doesn’t mean it should come out that poorly. Overall the views are somewhat nice, but the seating is super tight, and the food was really not worth the price point.
    Peaks RestaurantResponded 5 days ago
Hi Nikolas, I’m sorry to hear that your chicken sandwich wasn’t warm. I wish you had let the service staff or manager know so they could have addressed the issue. Our chef is extremely flexible and can create dishes to suit your preferences. I believe that if we had the opportunity to correct the situation, we wouldn’t have warranted a two-star review or a comparison to microwaved food. Our team works incredibly hard to provide an exceptional culinary experience for the 4,500 guests we serve each day. Again, I apologize for your experience and would like to discuss it further.

Food is just bad, we ordered duck and they didn’t even ask what temperature we wanted it. Mac and cheese was almost out of the can. Overall horrible food but the waitress was nice. I do not recommend the food here at all. Really bad
    Peaks RestaurantResponded 5 days ago
Hi Alex, I apologize for the oversight regarding our Roasted Muscovy Duck. It is roasted in its own juices, and we do not take the temperature since it is not a duck breast. Our Mac and Cheese is made in-house with a blend of four different cheeses: Smoked Gouda, American, Mont Amore, and Aged Cheddar. This is not your traditional Mac and Cheese; it certainly has a rich flavor. I wish I had the opportunity to resolve the situation before receiving a one-star review. Please feel free to reach out to me; I would love to discuss this further.

The tram ride was amazing, but the restaurant was below expectations. Check totaled more than $200. This was for a filet mignon, which was excellent, a ribeye, which was tough as leather, and ravioli, which was drenched in sauce and seasoned poorly. Non-alcoholic beverages rounded out the tab. The drunk, demonstrative couple at the neighboring table further diminished our dining experience. If you choose Peaks, stick with the filet — it is the only thing we ordered that was worth its cost. Also, pray that surrounding diners aren’t loud and obnoxious.

Peaks is definitely a novelty restaurant where you come for the tram ride and to see the view. We had the ribeye (one in medium and the other medium rare), ravioli with steak (medium), Mac and cheese, caesar salad with chicken, and spinach salad with shrimp. All the beef came out medium rare and under seasoned. The shrimp and chicken were perfectly cooked. Both salads were overdressed. Pro tip: ask for dressing on the side. The pasta is the best part of their menu. Old fashion was good, Negra margarita was on the sweet side.
