Black Trumpet Bistro has been a family run restaurant in the heart of Huntington beach. Preparing fresh sauces, soups and dessert daily makes Black Trumpet Bistro a highlight of Huntington beach. We combine fresh ingredients, great recipes and friendly service at a fair price.

The Black Trumpet Bistro specializes in Mediterranean tapas, small plates that bring you flavors from Italy, France, Spain & Greece and right here to Huntington Beach, CA. We also offer full entrees including rack of lamb, meat & seafood paella, a variety of handmade Italian pastas. Cornish game hen, daily board specials, crafted cocktails and extensive wine list.

    After reading the reviews for Black Trumpet we decided to give it a try. We went with a couple of friends for lunch and was pleasantly surprised by everything from the staff, food and even the music was enjoyable. Our friends were from LA and said it was well worth the drive for this luncheon.

    What a gem! We love tapas and this place is really something. The taste was incredible, love the ambience and lighting in there. We had the lamb köfte, baked Brie, country salad, filet mignon, lamb lollipop. Will be back!

    Best spot in all of Orange County in our opinion. Service is next level and they have a menu that everyone can enjoy

    Had a wonderful time. Not my first time. every time experience is great. The gentleman attending to our service was courteous, and advised at the right amount. So we did not order more than we could eat. We ordered my favorite Spanakopita which were yummy. Highly recommended. Truffle Fries- crispy delicious. Often the simplest dish but one that is spoilt. Then the spicy shrimp and the chicken Shawarma. We closed the dinner appetite with a special chocolate dessert and butter cake

    Long time customer of the black trumpet back to several years at the old location on beach blvd. Haven’t been here in about a year and I was saddened to see that the prices have gone up again. About double the price from 5 years ago in my estimation. So loud now, lacking its prior ambience. Used to be a decent value for excellent food and now they don’t even give pita and olive oil anymore for free. Sad :(

    Delicious as usual...we ordered four of the tapas, salmon, cantaloupe arugula salad with burrata cheese, bbq ribs, and beef wellington. All the tapas were outstanding. Our server, Jordan, was friendly and very competent. Enjoyed our dinner very much!

    They modified the paella for me an it was the BEST EVER! Loved it and so did our guests, who did not get the paella modified. A lovely meal.

    I’ve really been missing out. First time here and absolutely loved it!!! David was excellent with honest suggestions. Every single thing we ate and drank was perfection. We cannot wait to return!
