We stopped in to enjoy the brunch along with endless Mimosas and left fat and happy! Our server, Manny, was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, polite, and very attentive. He answered all of our menu questions and offered his suggestions about both the Harley Gray Burger and the Chilaquiles, which we both agreed to try and were wonderfully surprised by the deliciousness of both items! Our Bartender, Nick, was also excellent and ensured that the Mimosas arrived promptly at our table without any hassles, delays or prompting. The atmosphere was quiet for a Saturday afternoon brunch but perhaps the Thanksgiving holiday weekend had something to do with it. The food was delicious. The portion sizes more than ample and the service was great. Highly recommend Harley Gray's Kitchen.

Burger was amazing. The eggs Benedict was overcooked and not runny but it tasted very good. Serv ir was solid. Noise lebrel was loud and made converstion difficult. Suoerb food and worth it.

Had a reservation. Checked in, before crowd, and many were sat before us who didn’t have reservations. Then sat for awhile before served came, she took our drink order then we sat for a long time til she took our order. We waited an hour from being sat to actually getting our food. I really wanted to love this place. Food was good. Just really slow service.

Harley Gray exceeded our expectations. It is the nearest restaurant to our home in Mission Hills, so decided to give it another go (our first couple of times it was just okay). We are so glad we did and we had a wonderfully simple, yet highly enjoyable dining experience. Although pretty empty for a Saturday night, we liked that it was not too noisy. The sliding doors and windows were all open to a beautiful San Diego evening - warm and balmy (for November). The server, Tera was lowkey, efficient and very friendly. My boyfriend had Shrimp Scampi which he said was delicious and I had a Pork Escalope with an onion gravy and Pommes Frites - simple yet perfect! My Cocktail, a Lavender lemonade with vodka was tasty! Then we ended with an Apple Betty and icecream to share...crumble on top - again it was perfect! The time to get our drinks, food, dessert and bill were once again just right. There are weekday specials so on an upcoming Monday, we are going again for the BBQ Ribs special! We highly recommend trying out Harley Gray if you haven't already...and the Theater Under The Stars is only a few doors down where we went to watch Barbie from our double reclining seats under the open sky - bliss! Great date night!

We love Harley Gray - the food is always perfection in quality and quantity. The servers are wonderful and so prompt and helpful. The ambiance is beautiful and low noise which makes for good dinner experience. They can always accommodate large and small groups and we often go back.

Our meal was Fabulous!! There were 6 of us and I think all of us finished our meal our was finished by someone else. The food was absolutely delicious. The drinks were amazing and the service was impeccable. They have bottomless mimosas for $10 if you order an entree and they are sooooo delicious! Our new favorite spot for family brunch!

$10 bottomless champagne for brunch is a steal, but wish it were served with the bottle left on the table. Food was good and reasonably priced at $14+ per entree. This is one of the restaurants that charge an additional fee on top of the bill (hence the one star reduction)

They make a great shrimp and grits! Best I’ve had since moving to California from New Orleans. Our waiter was so incredibly nice and helpful with great food recommendations. Outside seating is fantastic.

Dear Sir/Madam I have been a longtime patron of Harley Gray and recommended your establishment to many friends. Four of us were there last night and ordered our usual Friday Special Prime Rib. It has always been excellent. Last night was an exception. The service was as expected "very good", the prime rib was not as expected, It was cold, dry, and tasteless the mash potatoes were also cold. Their steak was delicious and rivaled steakhouse cuts. Strong drinks (the Mai Tai) and very good service. I enjoyed the mac nut encrusted mahi mahi very much. If you have a chance to try the tilapia ceviche, I would highly recommend it.

Harley Gray's is consistently good. Menu changes and ideas are excellent choices by chef. Their specials for each week night make it a good place to plan for a weekday meal treat. I found it 2 years ago on Restaurant Week and have returned several times since then. It's a great neighborhood find

My calamari & mahi over cooked the flavor was good as was the veggies if the other two items were cooked to perfection I would have given a higher rating. The drinks very good - for the prices they should be😀. I have dined there in the past it was better the chefs make a difference.

We had 7 family members go here to experience the Restaurant Week menu. They were very accommodating but overall a bit pricey compared to when I used to go to this building when it was Pirets and my favorite, The Gathering! Overall, excellent happy hour, food, and service though!

Last minute decision to come here worked out beautifully. The calamari was fantastic, sauces were good too. I had the Mahi mahi tacos. They were good. Could have used more spice/sauce but otherwise was really good. My husband had the macadamia crusted fish. He ate the entire plate and said it was really good. We will definitely be back. Cute hidden gem.

We went with an out of town guest for the prime rib special. Ordered calamari as a starter. When it arrived, it was cold. Sent it back and it was quickly returned, at the same time as our main course! The last time we had this special, several years ago, it was served with mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. This time choice of one or the other. Again our meals arrived cold! The potatoes were so lumpy they were inedible. We sent our mains back. The second time around they were still cold! Worst dining experience in our 8 years living in San Diego. Complained to manager about the meal and service and all he said was: “Gee, sorry”. It will be the last time we will ever eat at this establishment.

3 dozen blue point oysters, fresh and wonderful, fish taco was okay, well-cooked but under-seasoned, lobster taco with chipotle aioli very good, ceviche was very good, although it had more veggies than fish. Service by Liv was great. And the Tuesday special pricing was great! Buck-a-shuck...hard to beat that!

We live in the neighborhood and rarely go to Harley Gray but because of the. EXCELLENT server we had, we plan to visit frequently! A huge reason for our positive dining experience was Manny, our server. He was great: friendly, attentive (but not too attentive), and just a really nice guy!

Our first time at Harley Gray Kitchen & Bar and we will return. The food was delicious and our server was very friendly. The only downside was the table we were seated next to - they were extremely loud to the point that the four of us couldn't hear ourselves talk!

Came here for dinner, had reservations specifically for indoors because I didn’t want to sit in the outdoor parking lot section and two different staff members asked if I had a reservation after I already said I was checking in under my 6:30 reservation. Right off the bat they tried seating us outdoors, I again said it was for standard indoor seating. At about 7pm my husband and I finally got sat inside and then waited close to 15 minutes to put our drink order in. I’m not sure if there were staffing issues on that particular Friday night but it seemed unorganized, the noise level ended up being way too loud and overall ambience was anything but relaxing. Maybe we would have been better off in the parking lot seating. I had the mahi mahi fish and chips which was good and my husband had the prime rib which was really good! Not sure if we’ll be back for a weekend date night but I’m willing to try again, most likely just on a week day night. I know some personalities are fine in crowded loud restaurants, so if that’s you then you’ll have a good time!

My daughter and I took my husband here for his birthday. First time for all of us. We sat outside to the right of the restaurant, which is a little stark but the place was hopping. We ordered mai tais and cooper coladas, which were refreshing and yummy. For dinner, hubby had the Porter ribs, daughter had the scampi, and I had the coconut crusted mahi. The food was absolutely delicious! We will definitely be back!

We’ve been coming for the Thursday lobster special every summer we visit from AZ. Nick has been our server and he’s the best! He greets us warmly and knows exactly what we’re ordering. We will keep coming back!
