Pate’ Maison was a great starter, delicious every time. Paired with Very dry martinis-perfect. Steak Frites seared and juicy complemented by very well prepared fries and a zesty sauce. Better than many steakhouses in San Diego and a good price. Confit de Canard was perfectly crispy skin tender duck meat on a base of Brussels sprouts- unique. Even if you don't like sprouts you will love these. Service as always attentive and understated.

We had a very good experience here. Our meals were both excellent, not salty as is the case sometimes with this type of cuisine, and the portion sizes were very good. I'm just reading it a bit lower on value because it is getting pretty expensive, and even bread and butter is now a $5 side item and not complimentary. Even the entrees themselves are getting a bit pricey such that this is a treat once or twice a year and not really even a once a month sort of thing for us. I would also like to see glasses of wine available that are around $8 or $9 rather than well into the teens.

This is our #1 restaurant in San Diego.Every-time we go, the food and service are excellent. The atmosphere is one of a kind creating the traditional French bistro. We LOVE La Bonne Table!

Do yourself a favor and check out this little gem. Wonderful ambiance, impeccable service, and great food. Reasonably priced as well. We had such a lovely evening in celebration of my husband’s birthday. Merci beaucoup! We will be back.

All the goodness of classic French food, none of the pretentiousness. Service was knowledgeable and attentive, portions were generous, and food was absolutely outstanding. Oh and the price was surprisingly manageable. We will definitely be back.

Great experience at an awesome restaurant! Service was top notch and the food was very delicious. Our waiter informed us ahead of time of the extended cooking time for our meals, which was perfectly fine, due to the thickness of the cut of meat. The pork chop was on point!!! Even got complimentary dessert wine for us celebrating a special occasion. Definitely recommend La Bonne Table and will definitely be going back again.

Always a treat, our return to La Bonne Table was everything that we hoped it would be. Our favorite dishes were prepared to perfection, the service was wonderful as always, and it is such a welcome treat that there is no music - loud or otherwise - in this restaurant...so one can have real conversation here...not so easy to find these days. La Bonne Table does everything right and we look forward to returning soon.

La Bonne Table never disappoints! We shared the amazing paté, and for entrees we had the fabulous 16 ounce pork chop and the delicious cassolet. For dessert we shared a great creme brulee. The only thing better than the food is the service from Yo and Victor, who make us feel like family. It doesn't get any better!

Best French cuisine around! The food is always stellar, the service is on point and the atmosphere is wonderful. We love the French onion soup, the escargot, mussels, trout, pork chop….basically everything. We’ve only ever had incredible meals and experiences here!

We're never disappointed at La Bonne Table. We've just celebrated another anniversary here, and are always glad we did. Although the menu is simple and small, every dish is well-prepared and delicious. This time we opted for the pate (excellent), frisee salad (always a good choice), as well as our favorites: duck confit and trout almondine. Creme brulee and a perfect "espress" ended the meal on a sweet note. Being here always reminds us of France - not overdone, not too loud, excellent service and a relaxed, warm atmosphere. You can tell a good restaurant when the staff recognize you and welcome you back, even if it's been months. Thank you for another lovely evening!

A wonderful experience on my Birthday 🥂 Soupe à l'oignon, steak frit (medium rare), vin rouge, asperges aux amandes. The entire meal was properly prepared, seasoned, and absolutely delicious! The steak was properly cooked, and tender. The service was exactly as I wanted. It was a great treat, for a memorable Birthday! Thank you very much!

We had an amazing dining experience pre-show at the Old Globe. Our waiter was very personable and gave great recommendations. All three courses plus drinks were simply authentic and amazing and took me back to my time in France. Will definitely come back.

We tried three appetizers, three mains, and three desserts. All were outstanding. Excellent (but not hovering) service. The only minus is trying to find parking, but it's possible. A great moderately casual French bistro-type place with top notch food.

We tried this place out for the first time and did the Restaurant Week menu. We enjoyed it very much. The Lobster Bisque and the Crab Rillette were exquisite. My Duck Confit was well seasoned and the portion was generous. The Dark Chocolate Mousse was amazing. Service was very good, with the servers being very attentive

I’d heard it was a quaint quiet and romantic place with excellent food. The food from the escargot to the main course was delicious and 5 star. The dessert was underwhelming and I’d skip it in the future but don’t think we’ll return. My reason for the low rating is it is an extremely small old house with a bar that takes up half the space. You add 3 annebriated bar patrons to the equation and from the minute we walked in the door we could not hear ourselves talk let alone think. We asked to sit outside thinking that would help but it made little difference. This restaurant should decide weather they want to be a bar or a restaurant. It is too small for both unless they are willing to tell the bar patrons to keep their volume down so those spending over $200 on dinner can have a fully enjoyable experience
