Cast and Cru serves homemade American cuisine. We features seasonal ingredients grown in our on-site gardens. The food is fun and approachable.

Our bar serves meticulously selected wines from the top distributors and producers from around the world, as well as fine scotches, whiskey, and craft beer.

Located in the historic Old Log Theatre on 11 1/2 acres, we host theatre patrons, destination diners, and our neighbors in the Lake Minnetonka area.

The restaurant was beautifully decorated but freezing cold like a window was left open. The food looked delicious and was presented well but all the food was very under seasoned. This was the opinion of all 6 diners- so not a Covid symptom! The service was excellent. Presentation was lovely. The Salmon was the best dish but still under seasoned.

My wife and I ordered the same entree. NY strip and mashed potatoes. We got two of the same different entrees. Ribeye and baked potato. We just ate it vs. asking to replace. The restaurant was very crowded, and our server was very new. More value to be had for what we paid at other places.

The atmosphere is nice. I was not impressed with the timing of the dining experience, the beverages or service we received based on the price. We felt rushed from the time we sat down to when we received our bill. Our beverages came out as our meals arrived. We told our server we were in no rush. They were trying to take our plates away before we finished our meal and presented our check before we were even done ordering dessert and post dinner drinks. The meal itself tasted mediocre, almost as if it had been premade then plated once ordered.

Great place for a delicious and convenient pre-play meal. They did a great job with the challenging logistics of getting most of their diners to a show at the same time. Outstanding food.

The food was good, and the french fries on the appetizer menu were the best part of our meal. Our dessert was a disappointment. Overall, the staff was very well trained and attentive but the noise level made it hard to talk to the person sitting across from me.

Only thing I can compliment on was the excellent and friendly server. The menu items were way overpriced for what we received. Especially the $11.00 cheesecake that we thought would be big enough to share was a sliver barely enough to satisfy one person and wasn't even good! We'll not be back.

We have enjoyed this restaurant and bar several times in the past. This time, the appetizers (mussels and flatbread) were delicious, but our entree selections were not, most notably the tacos which are listed as an app, but are plenty for a single entree. They had nothing on them except meat, and that had an odd aftertaste. The short ribs and walleye were curiously bland. While the menu reads the same, the preparation seems to have been changed.
