Jordyn’s Soul Café is a premier soul food restaurant in Houston, Texas; expanding on our two thriving locations in Chicago to bring our home-cooked dishes and fresh ingredients down to Texas. Owner Angel McDonald opened up this business in honor of her late daughter, Jordyn. Angel has been working in the restaurant industry for many years and has always had a passion for cooking. The recipes she serves at Jordyn's Soul Café are close to her heart and have been passed down by her mother. Angel is dedicated to providing her customers with delicious food that is made from scratch daily, using only the freshest ingredients. She takes pride in providing customers with quality service and ensuring that all dishes served are prepared with care and love. Angel created a space that is second to none in its ambiance, and our food is beautifully presented with artistic attention to detail. I honestly rate this place 10/10. Waitress was perfect always check on us and food. Food came out fast well done and cooked right. I highly recommend this place!!

Delicious! The Mac and yams eggrolls are pure comfort food. The pot roast empanadas are my second favorite. Would highly recommend.

They need to update their menu because they have increased their prices on some items and it is not reflected on the menu. You think you’re paying one price for something then when you get your bill, you see it’s a dollar more or two dollars more. I just feel as though they should have complete transparency when it comes to their prices and not do a bait and switch.

The service was excellent! The staff came by several times to make sure if we needed anything else. The food came out very quick and was great. I will defintely be going back again.

Great food great service nice vibe I’ll definitely go back the entire ambiance was great love the live dj played good music if you want good soul food in Houston this should be the stop

⭐️⭐️⭐️ We were really looking forward to trying Jordyn’s Soul Food — especially the oxtails, pork chops, or jerk chicken wings. Unfortunately, none of those items were available because they hadn’t received their order for the day. That was a letdown, especially for a first-time visit. On a brighter note, the waitress was absolutely amazing — friendly, attentive, and truly the highlight of our short experience. We didn’t stay to eat since the main dishes we came for weren’t available, but we’d consider giving it another try in the future. Hopefully next time, the kitchen will be fully stocked.
