Koast is the latest creation from Kevin Meehan and Drew Langley, the creative team behind Michelin-starred Kali Restaurant.

With Chef Michael Kerner at the lead, Koast offers an approachable, seafood-focused menu infused with advanced technique and inventive flavors.

Rich blue banquettes line the indoor dining area, while outdoor counter seating on Melrose Avenue is also available for full service. Perfect for a meal before an evening at Hollywood's surrounding venues, like the Pantages, the Palladium, the Wiltern, or the Hollywood Bowl.

Absolutely loved our dinner at Koast! Incredible food and service, beautiful seafood, delicious flavours and wonderful staff who were attentive every step of the way. My partner is gluten free and they were incredibly accommodating, they had a separate gf menu available and even adapted one of the desserts so she could have it. Can’t wait to come back!

We had the best service and food. Our starters were all the raw fish which melt in your mouth. The scallop bakes were so good we got a second order. The corn bread and Ceasers sales was fantastic as well. Sword fish, Snapper and conch pasta delicious as well. Unfortunately, we didn’t have room for dessert. Must go !

From the moment we walked in, the ambience set the tone for a great night. It’s a small, intimate venue with a really nice vibe that made us feel welcome right away. We came with a group of six, which gave us the chance to try a variety of dishes—and everything we ordered was outstanding. The sushi was top-tier, with incredibly fresh fish and amazing quality. The crab cheese dip was absolutely next level—one of the best I’ve ever had. We also shared the steak and the red snapper, both of which were perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Even the Caesar salad stood out—it was fresh and delicious. The oysters were super fresh, and the chicken sandwich was a big hit too—the chicken was so juicy and flavorful. The service was excellent from start to finish. The staff was attentive, friendly, and paid great attention to detail, making sure we had everything we needed. Overall, this place is definitely a hidden gem, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for great food, a nice atmosphere, and top-notch service. I can’t wait to go back!

WE celebrated our anniversary at Koast and had a wonderful dinner. The staff is attentive, and the food is delicious. We made our own tasting menu by sharing many of the appetizers, it was great from start to finish!

Excellent service, incredible food by Chef Mike. Very nice wines. A beautiful unique entrance and also cool bathrooms. Highly recommend the banana pudding to end the meal!

I would love to keep KOAST a secret so I could always get a reservation. However, I must not be selfish. KOAST is without question a new "highlight," "must try" Los Angeles venue. While the service is exemplary, the food is among the most creative, freshest and tastiest around. I've had many of the dishes multiple times and they are consistently amazing. The balance and flavor profiles are simply not to be missed. I have now tried every dish on the menu, including a couple of the specials. Each dish is unique and will please anyone from the novice to the most sophisticated palate.

It was my first time at Koast and I can't imagine trying to again. The food wasn't bad but it wasn't specially good either. The waiter screwed up my order and the place was too loud. Three strikes-- worse so when you consider the price

The first two courses--tuna tartare and Caesar salad were excellent. My main course, pasta with sea urchin, was very mediocre. I would try the restaurant again, but I thought it was very overpriced.
