The dancing and vibes are what this place is about. The food is perfectly fine, the service can take a while. And there’s not much table space or light to eat. But you’ll have a great time anyway!

I’ve been to Zizou five times in just two months, and I absolutely love it. Walking in feels like coming home—like being on the docks in the south of France, maybe Marseille. Maati and Boris, the founders, have created a space that feels like an oasis. Their partnership is the perfect blend: Maati, an architect by training, and Boris, a sommelier and sound designer, met in Lyon, France, during their youth. Together, they’ve designed and built everything inside and out, blending Moroccan and French influences to create an incredible atmosphere. The food is fantastic—everything from the Moroccan salad to the mussels marinières is delicious. Their menu beautifully fuses North African and French flavors. Plus, they offer great wines, including a Sicilian white in a 1-liter bottle that’s mineral and incredible. Music plays a big role here too, adding to the vibrant, relaxed vibe. Maati and Boris really care about the community, hosting events and creating a space where you don’t feel rushed. All this comes at very reasonable prices, making Zizou a must-visit in Los Angeles. It’s a fantastic spot, and I never get tired of going back. Merci pour le voyage!

Just all around great vibes. Food was fresh and tasty for a reasonable price. Our waiter seemed like maybe the owner and was the perfect balance of relaxed, helpful and attentive. Wine list was great, we tried two at the waiters suggestion and love both. Music was great all night. Amazing ambience - sunset on the patio was perfect timing.

Truly a gem in the Los Angeles area. Can feel all the love and thought that went into the design. Food is 10/10 flavor bombs. Will definitely be back again and again and again!!!

The ambiance was wonderful. Unfortunately, the food was pretty bland and the service was not very good. I would go back to enjoy a glass of wine and the great ambiance.

It’s always a great experience. The menu is small, but everything is delicious. The owners are nice, and the work they put into the patio is simply amazing. It is so beautiful, and the vibe and music are fantastic.

Perfection! We absolutely had a wonderful time there and plan to go back already. The only two small notes I have is more French or ambient music and less techno/house stuff and mint tea.
