Our owner, Chef Richard Hales, a four generation Tampa family since 1954, is back in his hometown of Tampa after 25 years away. We really liked the decor and the way the restaurant welcomed us when we stepped inside. Since it was our first visit, we should have asked about the seasonings of the dishes. We ordered an appetizer and 3 dishes to share. Be sure to have the fabulous dumplings!! Our other choices were very spicy for our taste! My mouth burned for an hour. When the manager checked on us, I said the food was good, but a bit too hot for us. He immediately made it right by bringing complimentary ice cream to put out our fires! We’d go back, just order differently. Glad you’ve moved to South Tampa!

The food is always amazing! Shumai is a great starter. All the noodles are great. The duck is a must have as it is a fun, shareable entree.

We were seated on a high top table that was very small and wobbly. The chairs were very uncomfortable and also wobbly. The food was good but very small portions. I’m glad we went because we wanted to try it but not going back.

We love this restaurant. Cozy, comfortable, and decor is outstanding. But what brings us back again and again is the heart and soul that put this restaurant together and shines through in every aspect. The food is creative and outstanding. A true artistic masterpiece with each dish. Servings are more than plentiful and we gladly take home leftovers, extending our wonderful dining experience throughout our week. The owner personally visits each table and is thoughtful and humble. Such a pleasure to meet and visit with. Service is personable and quick. Whether drinks or food or even just water you get it quickly with a smile. Price is reasonable for all that you get and we will be back over and over again. A relaxing and pleasurable experience every time. Thank you! A fantastic addition to South Tampa!

We had a problem with the music to loud servers and patrons could not communicate. The tables are way too close to each other.

The best restaurant in Tampa by far! Worth the trip if you are in a 3 hour radius… SERIOUSLY!

I preferred the prior location. The patio seating would be nice in a better and quieter location. They can’t help who or what is around the restaurant but we saw everything from a bicycle gang, to cars racing (and the road is right next to the patio) so we couldn’t hear each other at times, to interesting characters walking by. Service is excellent but food is mediocre. Drinks are great but expensive. The manager was very accommodating when we didn’t like a specific dish but what we ordered instead didn’t impress. The fried rice was tasty, but overall I recall the food being better when we ate at the Dale Mabry location. Perhaps our experience would have been better if we ate inside but quality of food was good not great.

Do yourself a favor. Try Dim Sum Sunday. Try the Bao buns. I don’t usually like them because they are easy to mess up and not get right but these might have been the best I had. The dough was soft and the taste was right. Duroc with chili very good. If you try the spinach mushroom have it with the spicy green bean sauce. Also the beef and onion pot stickers are great. You can get these on Sunday as they have an extended dim sum menu
