   The food was phenomenal. Frena makes me happy. I was disappointed in service though. We were encouraged to order everything family style at the same time so the chef could pace the meal appropriately. But there was a huge lag between courses. The courses were uneven. Also we would have ordered more of a few things had we been advised about the number of people a dish would serve (think Tiger Shrimp). We will be back and hope for better next time.

   The Mother’s Day menu was not a good selection. This was a brunch and the selection didn’t represent quite of a brunch menu. Like few other restaurants, I would have really hoped Okto allowed ordering from the regular menu for folks who would have preferred to. The schnitzel was tenderized (pounded) too much where it was dried and thinned out to the point where the battery crispy ness made it extremely hard to even cut it with a steak knife and didn’t leave much of meat left to it. I hope to be back for the regular dine in menu but left disappointed somewhat for Mother’s Day

   Our server Elon was great. He recommended the Denver Cut paired with a Bordeaux. Might have the best octopus in Houston! So freakin tender

   First visit to Okto. The blend of fresh ingredients and interesting sauces created a wonderful culinary journey. The dishes were plated and served beautifully with great attention from the staff. I look forward to my next visit.

   Both food and service accented our dining at Okto. Our waiter, Tristan (sp?), was personable and gave us excellent recommendations from a choice of wines, appetizers, salads and entrees. We selected a small salad to accommodate our appetites, and overshot our stomachs just enough for me to show off my lunch at the office. The emphasis was on the sea and Okto did not disappoint.

   Brent was amazing! We dined here for our anniversary and they took great care of us. Drinks were phenomenal, the octopus and tuna carpaccio was amazing! For our main course we had the Denver Cut with butternut squash. Highly recommend those dishes!

   We had a lovely time dining at Okto. We sat outside on the beautiful patio; felt like we were dining in Los Angeles; truly an eye pleasing and aesthetic experience. For appetizers, we had the octopus, the bread &, my favorite - the hamachi crudo. For entrees we ordered the Denver cut steak and the lamb chops. For beverages, we started off with bubbles and had a fantastic red wine which was recommended. Thank you, Okto management and staff, for the spectacular experience and service. We will be back.

   The physical space is gorgeous, and service was attentive. The meals were delicious, with nice wines and cocktails. It got very noisy as the night went on. Perhaps the music didn't need to be quite so loud.
