   We really enjoyed the prefix brunch! The coffee cake starter was delicious and each course offered a nice variety of options. I had the lobster Benedict for my main and it was scrumptious. The wait staff were attentive without feeling invasive and the ambiance was both exquisite and comfortable.

   We had the best evening. Everything was perfection from the moment we walked into the restaurant and met the hostess to our dessert. Our server and the staff were all so incredible. The food and wine shined. It was a memorable food experience and can't wait to go back. It was perfection!!!

   We had a great dinner here. Very interesting and creative menu, with good cocktails and expansive wine list. Service was friendly and efficient, with very good team work. Definitely recommend for a fine dining experience in San Francisco.

   Warm friendly and fun service all around from the very thoughtful wine service to those who helped bring bread, refill water, bring and take away food and plates/platewear. What was most remarkable was the timely refilling of our wine glasses, and observed from afar. Excellent attention to detail all around. As for the food, top notch execution for the courses, from the white asparagus supplement, to the halibut entrees and the poussin. Desserts were lovely too especially the sorbet. Compared to our last visit during Christmas Eve, the service tonight did not feel rushed, and execution all around on point. I would love to continue seeing this high level of quality and consistency, regardless of any weekend and special occassion all around, and hope for Spruce to regain its lost Michelin star. Thank you! We will be back.

   Overrated and overpriced. We went for Mother’s Day brunch, having reserved weeks in advance. When we arrived we were seated in a cold patio room that was unheated until we requested heat. We were told we could not be moved to the dining room inside where we had naturally assumed we would be eating. The menu advertised warm cinnamon rolls which were not served, and were replaced instead with small petite fours that were not exactly what you want to be eating at the beginning of a brunch. The food was underwhelming - trout was undersalted, the English peas undercooked. For the fixed price, which didn’t even include coffee, they are fleecing customers. This is our 3rd time trying this restaurant and we always hope it will be better, but it never is. We won’t be coming back.

   Portions are small to the point of being cheap. Although presentation is excellent, food is average. You’ll leave unimpressed and hungry.

   A wonderful special occasion restaurant! Service and wine list both excellent! Skip the white asparagus add on for $25. Not worth it. Everything else was amazing!
