Ulu Kitchen by Merriman is an ocean front restaurant offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner service featuring local ingredients and recipes created by chef Peter Merriman.

We have indoor and outdoor dining options, with a full bar, and the most prime dining views in all of Ka'anapali. The breakfast menu features classic favorites like Eggs Benedits, omelettes, pancakes, as well as some unique dishes like the cure (breakfast ramen) and our Hawaiian chilaquiles.

Lunch features our signature smash burger, fresh ahi tuna poke bowl, tempura battered fish and chips, and a fresh local veggie wrap.

Dinner has a seafood forward menu featuring Ahi Sashimi, Grilled Tako, Scallops, Mahi Mahi, Shrimp and Lobster Ravioli. From the land we offer a USDA Prime Beef Filet Mignon, Snake River Farms Wagyu Beef Cheeseburger, and Maui Nut Venison Loin.

This food was quite exquisite, I had ordered the Surf and Turf, it came with a steak that cut and tasted like butter on a plate of mash potatoes that were oh so delectable. Next to it was a a vegetable of green beans sauteed in soy sauce with freshly cut hints of chilli peppers to give a little kick of spice. And for the surf, it came as ravioli with lobster embedded inside which really got the taste buds going as you wish you had more than what they give you as they really stand out and are quite amazingly delicious. The atmosphere was quite one for the ages as they had breath taking views of the ocean and sunset with a great song artist playing cover music in the corner.

Another Merriman star! Food was fabulous as was the service. Only slight complaint was that the background music was a little too loud. Will def visit again.

Party of 5 with 3 getting the lobster ravioli and 2 getting steak frites. Everyone thought their dinner was amazing! Would highly recommend!

Our waiter was very slow and not attentive. They came to give us our appetizer with no cutlery, or plates, and it was a sharing appetizer. Dropped off our mains and never cleared our table from the appetizer. Never came to check in on our mains until about 10 minutes later and I would have mentioned that my fish was actually cold but since they never came, I just went ahead and ate it so that we could hurry up and leave. I’m not the kind of person that would not tip the waiter, but I really thought about it on this one! It’s a shame that the tipping culture is what it is because 20% for this waiter was not right and he did not deserve it at all.
