Alkeme is an Asian food restaurant with style. The dishes are recognizable but subtly different in a very good way. We only had three dishes, but each seemed to outdo the next. We started with mussels in an absolutely divine sauce. Next we had the crepe dish which my wife said was one of the best dishes she has ever had, and we are foodies of the highest level. We then had the street food pork and vermicelli which was also a sensual overload. With each dish we had layers of delightful tastes. It was truly memorable. And finally we tried dessert. The coffee flan was superb. My wife had the lime bars which she didn’t love.the sauce and sorbet were terrific but the cake was dense and not great. It was a rare miss on an otherwise outstanding meal. This is an excellent restaurant in a town with many great choices, and one that should not be missed.

My husband and I had the most delightful culinary experience that blended Vietnamese, Taiwanese and Pacific Rim influences. Try the Hawaiian Off the Hook Tuna Poke, Rice Paper with Nori, Fried Trout with Viet Cajun Coconut Sauce, Banh Xeo French Inspired Vietnamese Crepe, Cha Ca Crispy Turmeric and Dill Cod, and Alchemist Salad. Every small dish came out thoughtfully and beautifully prepared. We look forward to going back (bringing friends) and trying more of their flavorful dishes. I have to give "big" shout out to Chef Erica Tai. THANK YOU for a wonderful and memorable dining experience!!!

Alkeme is an exquisite fine Asian dining experience. There were elements of Vietnamese, Taiwanese, Korean amd Hawaiian cuisine. I highly recommend. I suggest choosing from the tasting menu. The cocktails are also delicious

A perfect evening dining on the patio. Busy intersection so motorcycles a little loud one time, everything else perfect. Great food and exceptional service.

Had been to this restaurant before and had a really outstanding meal but was a tad bit disappointed this time. Some of the mains were drowned out with garnish. However the service was excellent.
    AlkemēResponded on June 2, 2025
Hi Maryellen, thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback, we truly appreciate it. In Vietnamese cuisine, what might be considered “garnish” in other traditions is actually an essential part of the dish. For example, with the trout, the herbs, arugula, and pickled red onions are all meant to be enjoyed together to create a balanced and harmonious flavor. We’re grateful for the opportunity to share a bit about our culinary culture with you. And thank you for your kind comments on our service, something we take great pride in.
