We arrived 5 mins early for 9:15 reservation and were seated at 9:48pm. We were told a roble had paid out well before we arrived. We waited while the staff look puzzled and offered no real solutions or consolation. Second time we’ve been treated poorly due ro reservation issues. At a minimum, the table camping out could have been offered to switch with us waiting in the lobby table so we could sit. Oh well. Poor service is hard to overcome no matter how good the food might be. This is a pattern here— fyi.

Excellent service and really unique combination of flavors. Everything was well presented. Good selections of drinks both alcoholic and nonalcoholic.

Some of the most outstanding sushi I’ve had in Houston. Subtle surprising fresh flavors served with the same kind of enthusiasm and energy. Definitely going back soon.

Their fish (nigiri and crudo) is some of the highest quality in Houston. Since it isn’t a top echelon omakase I wasn’t expecting such high grade fish. It was awesome. Their weak spot for me was their yakitori items (tried 4 of them and all were very flavorful) and their fried rice (dry and lacking flavor). Will be back for more sushi!

Fantastic sushi spot that features good lunch specials and a full bar. The staff is very accommodating and eager to make suggestions. The ambience is perfect for a cozy date. A bit expensive, but not more than expected for the part of town it’s in. Will definitely go back.

Really enjoyed this restaurant—the appetizer we shared (a kimchi-type of cucumber with spicy-sweet sauce) was amazing. In fact we dipped our sushi in the remaining sauce it was so good. And the desserts —especially the Japanese cheese cake—super yum. Will definitely go back! Nice staff, too.

Doko was absolutely lovely! We love the decor, the location, the staff and of course the food! Alyssa, our server was super friendly and sweet! We had such an amazing time there! Will definitely be back.

Really nice restaurant well laid out and pretty stylish, overall it was shame the food didn’t match up. Chefs Nigiri was well presented and had good fish, sushi rolls were a mess and should never have been handed over at the bar.
