We booked this for a 34th anniversary. Disappointing. The weight staff was great, the food was the problem. Mushroom pasta was good. My wife cannot tolerate gluten order the chicken marsala, description said it was pan said nothing about breading so she had to send it back. Not sure what the first one tasted like, but the second one tasted like it had the brown Salisbury steak mushroom gravy from an envelope at the grocery store, with a tablespoon of salt thrown in for good measure. The waiter didn’t bother to ask why she’d only eaten one bite when they carried the plates away. I guess that avoids having to comp the entrée. I hope the reason the chicken marsala was so bad was because the first one was sent back. I cannot imagine anyone ever eating it if that’s the way all of them come.

Le meilleur restaurant italien du Colorado ! Cuisine raffinée, personnel compétent, beaucoup de place entre les tables, cadre élégant juste en face de la gare de Durango. Bref une très belle expérience.

First time in ages that the food tasted as if we were in Italy. Maybe helped that the waiter was Italian and we knew several of his old haunts. By far, best meal of our vacation which included Denver and Santa Fe. You need to eat here.

I had dinner here with my 26 year old son and his girlfriend while we were visiting from out of town. The food was fabulous, but the experience overall didn't match the quality of the food. We made our reservation on line and requested outdoor seating. When we arrived and confirmed with the hostess that we preferred to sit outside, she insisted on "showing us the table she had for us inside first", and then begrudgingly brought us to an outside table when we said that's what we really wanted. Others were dining outside and there were open tables both indoors and out, so it didn't seem like an unreasonable request. The waiter was OK until my son's girlfriend asked for Parmesan to go with her seafood pasta dish. He shamed and embarassed her by saying, "we don't recommend it - we don't believe in mixing land and sea," and didn't bring her any. I was furious but decided not to say anything so as not to (further) ruin our good time. Even if that's true in Italy, it was a terrible thing to say to a guest paying a premium price for their dinner in a tourist town. I work for a restaurant group and our servers are not allowed to shame our guests. The table we sat at had chipped paint and smears under the glass, the chairs on the porch are all plastic, and the menus were stained. Overall, not a 5 star experience which is a shame, since the food was really delicious and the setting was lovely.

Dinner was like taking a trip to Italy. Very authentic. Come with your appetite, portions are substantial. Be sure one of your selections is one of the homemade pastas.
