Our owner, Chef Richard Hales a four generation Tampa family since 1954, is back in his hometown of Tampa after 25 years away mastering Asian cuisine, opening award winning restaurants and appearing on the Food Network; beloved by the likes of Guy Fieri. Our seasonal menu features Asian techniques using the fi nest ingredients and availability of locally sourced produces. I cannot say enough good things about hale’s black brick! The food is so unique and delicious, the presentation is beautiful, the service is top-notch, the decor is super cool, everything about it is fantabulous!

Hales Blackbrick is at the top of our list of the best places to eat in Tampa! We come from a large city with endless options, so to find this gem was a dream! To begin, the owners Chef Hales and his wife Jenny are the kindest, sweetest souls with so much passion. It is not unusual for them to come out and greet diners while checking if they are satisfied with their experience and meal. This is a true family establishment guided with heart! The food is absolutely amazing! So much attention to detail and combinations of flavors that it leaves your taste buds excited for more! So many unique dishes as well as some old favorites with Chef Hales signature touch! If you love dim sum, look no further, and the fried rice… not to mention duck, steak, and the finest crafted cocktails… the list goes on! This is a must try!! Service is outstanding and the staff is delightful! Smiles all around with an intention to provide the best experience. There is complete attention to detail and eagerness to ensure the most professional and respectful service! It is very evident they take pride in what they do! We love Ryan, Chad, Dakota… to name a few, but truthfully, they’re all so pleasant! This is a must go if you live in or anywhere near Tampa! Note: there are 2 locations: Drew Park and Hyde Park. Both bring a different and unique experience and ambiance with the same fresh, tasty, fine dining options and service!

This is one of if not our favorite restaurant in Tampa Bay. The food is exceptional, although the fried rice is so good that we order it every time and that limits how many other things we order simply because of its portion size. This is a place not to be missed!
