                                                                              We heard about The Fancy when it was featured on Eat Like a Local hosted by Chris Shepard. He gave it a glowing review, and although that set our expectations high, we were not disappointed! We love that the chef/owner uses local sources, which not only assures the freshest product, but also helps the local economy. The smoked oyster terrine was a fabulous starter. I chose the red snapper for my entree, and my wife selected the redfish. Both were cooked perfectly, and enhanced with their own unique sauces. We will certainly be coming back on our next visit to Galveston.

Eggs Benedict were beautifully presented and the Pancakes were very tasty; however serving pancakes with a tiny ramakin of syrup was not great. Hubby had to ask for additional syrup 2X before he got a sufficient amount to use for the beautiful pancakes. My Bloody Mary cocktail menu was great and had several garnishes and was very tasty! Overall, brunch was very good but had some glitches.

                                                                              Such a terrific culinary experience. Setting a menu with exceptional ingredients is only part of it. The chef is magic in how he exceeds your expectations despite the fact that you know you're in for something delicious. Oh, that smoked oyster terrine...and yet our favorite may have been the seared red snapper. The amazing blue crab was our third favorite and it was to die for! Will be back!

The food was amazing and Evan the sommelier prepared the most amazing wines with each course! Please make this a regular event - it was a fabulous experience . We can’t wait to come back and try the entire Fancy menu. Also the rooftop bar is really a special place to watch the sunset and grab a cocktail or burger - whatever your fancy !!
