                                    10-10! I don’t say that lightly. My wife and I had an amazing dining experience. From the hostess, to our waitress Taylor, the manager and the outstanding young chef! You must visit!

                                    We were all disappointed in the food. The drinks were overworked with way too many ingredients. And the “frozen” martini was barely cold.

                                    Very disappointing. We cannot understand how this restaurant is on the ‘watch list’ by the Michelin Guide experts. The drink I ordered arrived in a pilsner glass that was overflowing with pebble ice. I had to ask our server for a spoon to remove a lot of the ice so that I could taste the drink. The amount of ice watered down the drink that tasted like bland melon juice. On top of that, we ordered our drinks and they arrived about 10 minutes later. The appetizer, Stracciatella, a burrata and tomato combo meant to be eaten on focaccia bread. The dish arrived with large sliced bread soaked in oil and grilled to create a crisp outer layer. The burrata mixture was in a bowl that we were expected to spoon over this horrible bread. While the burrata mixture was good, not great, the presentation was sloppy. The ‘Hand Rolled Tagliatelle’ was a bowl of pasta swimming in a yellow sauce that was overwhelmingly seasoned with saffron. The Wagyu Salisbury steak was more like a hamburger sitting on top of mashed potatoes and some fresh green beans. The only thing that helped this dish was the demi glaze.

                                    EVERYTHING from the drinks (mocktails too! ) appis, entres, to the desserts was FABULOUS!!! Everyone loved it. Parking was good, people all really nice and hostess even helped when it did get busy. The only cons: Noise level was huge! Server wanted to take whole order to stage it rather than allowing us to do our timing (they didn’t seem terribly busy for most of the night). They charge 6% on the bill which the server explained was ‘to compensate for the Medicare taken out of his bill!’ What? I own a business and have trouble understanding why they don’t build that into their price. I tip 20% to servers but wow 25% on a bill was crazy. Having said all that, would certainly go again !

                                    The food is absolutely amazing. Have to get the sourdough bread to start. The burger is phenomenal and not to forget the amazing caesar salad, which I'd go back just for that!

                                    If you’re in San Diego, you MUST try this restaurant. Very creative food. Very attentive waitstaff. Definitely merits its Michelin star. Be mindful that they will add a 6% fee “to ensure competitive wages and benefits for our team”. They’ll remove it if asked.

                                    We live in the neighborhood and have very happily watched this place get better and better. Last night (Sunday) was no exception. The ONLY down side for us was that it was jazz band night, but others may enjoy that. The servers and bartenders are always excellent and happy to accommodate any request!

                                    Last night’s dinner was worthy of a Michelin ⭐️! Recently we’ve dined at Jeune et Jolie and State Bird Provisions, both 1 ⭐️. The tasting menu from Chef Anders is right there with both meals we had at the other restaurants. Creativity and focus on the ingredients amazed us. Our server, Aris, was excited and enthusiastic about the menu. She suggested the tasting menu and the Chef took over and hit a grand slam! All the staff were engaging, caring and super hospitable. I truly enjoyed our dinner and sit here still stunned at the beauty of it all! Thank you Paradisaea!
