Fixins is a full service soul food restaurant that celebrates the history and traditions of African American culture in an inclusive environment that welcomes everyone! Very noisy and because of that that enjoyable . Jambalaya lacked little ingredients ie 1/2 of a shrimp , but mostly sauce . There must be a new owner because I found the food inferior . Jambalaya is my favorite dish and I will never order it again . The fried green tomato was so thin it was it was slimmy . I am not sure I am coming back again unless for fried chicken who my companion found it delicious . I was with the Renaissance Group for whom I suggested Fixin!s for our “Dining Out “ event .

Food is always good. I tried gumbo this time very expensive $21 for gumbo and to add shrimp extra $8 . Shrimp had no flavor gumbo was good I just like a darker roux

We love Fixins'. We always have the best time. The service was wonderful and has been very time we went, including for my birthday dinner last month. The portions are extremely generous and the food is DELICIOUS!!!!! I highly recommend the fried chicken, oxtails, really everything and please don't skip out on the peach cobbler. My kids are always delighted with the kool aid. Their house Cabernet is also very smooth. Thank you for always providing such a wonderful experience for our family.

Food was great, Cooked to perfection! I tried the deep fried deviled eggs. Excellent choice for an appetizer. I don’t care for spicy foods, in this case I could barely taste the hot sauce.

Food was delicious. Had the fish nuggets, smothered pork chops, and the fried chicken. Mac and cheese, greens, and red beans and rice for the sides. Pork chop was a little salty, but still good, would order it again. We sat at the bar. The bartender Luc was busy, but still took great care of us as well as fellow employees. Will definitely be back and would recommend; wish there was one closer as I live in Hughson. 😃😃

Came in to have dinner with friends on Sunday night. We were seated immediately even though we were earlier than our reservation. They were also able to accommodate our request to sit outside instead of in. Jae (Cronk) was our server again this night. He is amazing as always. He made us laugh and was on top of anything we needed. Every time we have him as our server there is never a dull moment and we always have a great night. The shrimp and grits were delicious with the right amount of spice. The oxtail fell of the bone and was super tender. The burger looked good but the bottom bun was soggy and the burger completely fell apart. That was the only bad thing but it was still edible.

We love the food and always come for the atmosphere and service. The location is little bit difficult to get a parking spot. We normally come early and can get a spot after several minutes. It’s well worth the effort.
