                                                  Staff were friendly but slow with drinks. The hostess didn’t create a great first impression but fortunately the manager picked up the slack. The cocktails were very good and although the food was good it missed the levels of previous visits. The cost was a little high but well worth it for the surroundings.

                                                  Always a wonderful experience to visit the Monarch Feast. Family loved it. The 3 and 5 year olds were catered too and they felt like a million bucks. Food was amazing, service outstanding and we all left very happy. Thank you for such an incredible memory.

                                                  Disappointing birthday meal. Many food bins were empty for long periods of time. They ran out of cocktail sauce. Desert table was uninspiring. Service was lacking. Lines at various stations were really long and slow moving. Seemed severely understaffed. At $90/person I expected far better.

                                                  We ordered a dozen raw oysters to start. They weren’t fresh: no brine, dry, shell cracked, poor texture. Can’t believe they wouldn’t serve fresh oysters at the gulf. I ordered gumbo for my main and the rice was under cooked. Husband ordered fish of the day and the risotto was also very undercooked, crunchy. So many great restaurants in Galveston, this is definitely not one to try.

                                                  The food was terrible! The service was nice. Our waiter was very attentive and nice. But the food was awful. Will never return to the restaurant again.

                                                  Great food, had the Sunday Brunch, $90. Made it worth it with tons of fresh crab legs. Sat at the lobby bar after, cool feel of you like 20s 30s vibe.

                                                  Unfortunately it was a 1pm brunch reservation and the food was cold, hard, and not replenished. Very disappointing. Only food of course not affected was the cold raw bar. For the cost of this brunch, it was absolutely unacceptable.

                                                  We spent almost $600 for 5 people (this included the tip). The hotel is beautiful. The service was subpar. Our waiter was busy with a bigger table so we didn’t get very much attention and had to grab him in passing for refills. But he was nice. The food was NOT worth the money. All of the meats were dry. You couldn’t even cut through the eggs Benedict because the muffin was so rubbery and stale. No seasoning on the foods so they were very bland and flavorless. The omelette was cooked well but zero flavor. The desserts were what you would get at somewhere like Golden Corral. Except for the bread pudding which was very good. We took my mother for her birthday and it was very disappointing. They stated there was a dress code but there were people in there in jeans shorts and tank tops and flip flops. The experience was definitely not worth the money.
