Artisan Waterfront Restaurant & Tavern offers a unique and innovative dining experience with magnificent views of Lake Michigan. Our Great Lakes-inspired, New American cuisine has an emphasis on farm-fresh fare from local and regional farms, celebrating the theme of craftsmanship and sustainability.
With booking a table in Artisan please advise your table will be reserved for 2 hours starting at the time of your reservation.
PLEASE NOTE THAT OUTSIDE TABLES ARE RESERVED UPON REQUEST BUT CANNOT BE GUARANTEED.
If you have requested a table outdoors, please be advised that in the case of inclement weather, we will do our best to accommodate your party inside at the same reservation time, however we cannot guarantee a table inside at the same exact time and may need to adjust the reservation time accordingly.

Exploring Michigan and we’re so happy to stumble upon Artisan. The food was incredible. The view is gorgeous. True fine dining with top notch staff. It was a nice romantic break in our travels. Highly recommend.

Everything was excellent except the portion sizes for the entrees are so small for the price you don’t know whether to laugh or cry. My food was excellent but if I spend 70$ on a meal I would like to not be hungry when I get home.

So much more than we expected. Fabulous food, beautifully styled and presented to you. The mushroom bisque was amazing as was the chowder. The chef graciously accommodated my gluten intolerance by replacing the breaded chicken polpette with a delicious chicken breast in the chicken saltimbocca dish. I highly recommend the coconut panna cotta with a passion fruit caramel for dessert (with the coconut-almond crunch served on the side for my dining partner); you will not be disappointed.

Wonderful experience with attentive, professional and friendly staff who were knowledgeable and informative. Helped celebrate a birthday in a joyous manner and would definitely go back!

A lovely early dinner on the portico! Service was fantastic, particularly as we were a group of nine. Food and wine selections were well catered to a variety of tastes and diets. All that with an outstanding view!

A very warm welcome and then Excellent service and wonderful menu choices. We had two different soups and two different entrees and everything was top notch.
