   Sadly, I had the most disappointing martini (tasting more of water than gin). And a signature dish for the Country Cat, a pork chop, was over cooked.

   Since they are closing, the employees all seem to have short-timers syndrome and the service, food and cocktails were mediocre at best. Too bad, it used to be a favorite.

   Went for my wife’s birthday and everything was great. Really loved the snapper fish and chips and the chicken fried steak. Good service and a lively atmosphere. So sad they are closing soon.

    Always enjoy the meal there. Everyone seated at the same time so it always noisy and slow service for 9am on Sunday. Otherwise everything is awesome.

    The restaurant is small, but they do an excellent job of managing the people. Spots to eat at the bar and outside. Food was fantastic; collard greens, mashed potatoes and fried chicken were the best I have had. The chicken fried steak and pork chops - phenomenal. Great food experience

    Country Cat is hands down one of the best restaurants in Portland. The food is always fresh, cooked to perfection, and delicious. Service is friendly, atmosphere is fun and bubbly, price is appropriate for the amount and quality of food.

    Service was friendly and prompt - our server was the real star of the visit! The food and cocktails were outstanding as well. Our group of 6 was seated at a roomy table next to a window which provided nice light and people-watching along Stark! The only downside of this visit was the noise level. I have visited before and don't remember it being this hard to hear normal table conversation. There were several others seated near us who were not particularly loud but I did notice the background music was more noticeable. Perhaps the volume was cranked a little more that evening. All in all it was a nice visit and we will be back!

    Nice they took reservations. Very busy too many tables per waitress, they looked VERY irritated to give coffee refills. Brunch cinnamon rolls and bacon outstanding.

    We had Saturday brunch and it was excellent! The food was great! It is quite noisy here, as the restaurant is fairly small. That would be my only complaint that I couldn't hear anyone at the table other than the one I was sitting right next to. Drinks were great! The bacon was exceptional!     Having seen them on Diners Drive Ins and Dives and the rave reviews, we decided to drive down from Seattle for dinner. They opened at 5:00 with a line of about a dozen people already there our excitement grew. The service was good and staff very plesant. We ordered the skillet fried chicken(very good) and two orders of the Whole Hog. Unfortunately both orders of Whole Hog were over cooked, making them dry and tuff. I would like to try them cooked properly, I believe it would be a great dish. We had four different desserts and all were delicious. Will give it a second chance if in the area.
