Just as in Italy where the food is genuine and locally sourced, you'll find the same at Intero with farm-to-table Italian cuisine. At its core, the concept behind Italian cooking stems from necessity and gratitude for regionally available ingredients. Intero, translating to “whole’’ in Italian, embraces this concept utilizing local ingredients from their entirety, paired with traditional Italian techniques and cooking sensibilities. This naturally sustainable approach allows for innovative, yet familiar dishes that highlight the seasonal availability of what’s grown and raised in Texas.

Additionally, Intero provides an authentic nod to the sweet side of Italy offering specialty house-made artisan chocolates (including truffles, barks, and sipping chocolate) along with other traditional Italian desserts in classic, seasonal and unique flavors.

    Incredible experience, fantastic value. We had the kampachi which was fresh, bright and zesty; the bucatini which was so creamy and delicious, great bite on the noodles; and the pork shoulder with crispy cucumbers, so tender. Brown butter cake is one of the best desserts we've ever had, surely one of the best in town. Highly recommended!

    Our anniversary celebration was wonderfully shaped by the friendly staff and delicious food. Everything was timed spaced and seasoned so perfectly. The Bolognese was so unctuous and the chai chocolate bark sublime. Looking forward to celebrating again at Intero.

    Imogen was a great server that made our day feel special. I love the intricacy of the food, but sometimes the flavor wasn’t all the way meshing the way it sounds it should. I think the value of this restaurant is great, and a great spot for cheaper yet amazing Italian inspired in Austin.

    I was super excited to try the risotto but they changed it from duck to quail. I should have follow my instincts and just order something else but I really wanted to try the risotto as the combination of beets, cabbage and chantilly sounded interesting. My quail was undercooked and it was hard to eat it as the skin was rubbery. The risotto was really good but without the protein to supplement it was just a disappointment. Hubby ordered the fish ravioli and was also not great. The combination was a bit off. Too salty and just didn't blend well. We will definitely be back as we always had a good time here before tonight so just hoping it was a "off night"

    Reception was very accommodating offering to rearrange or table to accommodate a change in our party size. The small plates were tasty, I was not in love with the Bolognese but the service and atmosphere made up for it. Ended a little disappointed I wanted an espresso or even drip coffee but all they could offer was a decaf.
