Serving Dinner daily, Sunday Jazz Brunch and Lunch on Fridays Restaurant R’evolution is the first joint venture of award-winning chefs John Folse and Rick Tramonto, offering modern, imaginative reinterpretations of classic Cajun and Creole cuisine. Steeped in the diverse historic and cultural influences of Louisiana, the menu features not only the chef’s interpretations of New Orleans classics such as gumbo, po’ boys, and beignets, but also new creations highlighting ingredients from what Chef Folse refers to as “the swamp floor pantry.” Table-side service components play an important role in the dining experience, promoting guest engagement about the history and evolution of the food they are enjoying. Soups such as Creole Louisiana Snapping Turtle Soup and Death by Gumbo play on unusual presentations of these traditional dishes that date back centuries. Desserts showcase classical New Orleans sweets done in a new and contemporary way.

This was my second visit. First time total experience 5 stars. Not so much this weekend. Crab Beignets okay, somewhat bland and remoulades didn’t help. Quail entree dry. Wine good. Service okay. Seated at counter overlooking kitchen and we were a bit of an afterthought to busy waiter. That said, I’ll go back again next time in NOLA. Hopefully, recent experience was due to an off night.

Whenever we are in the Crescent City we HAVE to go to Restaurant R’evolution. Each and every time the visit is exceptional! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the service is excellent. They pay attention to every detail. The food is way up there on the deliciousness scale. I like to try a different entree each time and I’ve never been disappointed. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. (But, you must try their “Death by Gumbo”) This is the one place that you cannot miss when in New Orleans!!!

Bar and hostess staff at the front could use some lessons in customer service. Once inside the restaurant the experience was much better. Wait staff very friendly and informed but in some instances lacking in attentiveness Or distracted with their larger parties providing for a less than consistent experience. The food was absolutely exquisite and makes up for it all - Our compliments to the chef!

The Death by Gumbo is the best thing I've ever eaten....great food! Fire grilled oysters, Tomahawk Ribeye for 2, Creme' Brûlée Creole Cream Cheese Bread Pudding...It's all amazing! One of New Orleans best restaurants.

Wonderful restaurant but our waitress and the restaurant was extremely busy. We were not in a hurry thankfully but it took awhile to get our wine. Loved the soup I ordered. The ambiance was fine but not my favorite. I thought the wine list was fabulous too.

We use to love this restaurant. The food was still great but the portion size was laughable. The appetizers were bigger than my husbands fish entree. It was about 2x2 inches with the smallest crab cake I have ever seen! My dish tasted great but would not have been enough for most people. The service was great until the entrees were served and then we did not see our waiter for some time. We gave up on dessert and coffee and just asked for the check.

Upon recommendations of our dear friends, I made reservations at Restaurant R’evolution. We entered from the multitudinous waves of LSU/Alabama fans on Bourbon Street into a Culinary Heaven. Our very knowledgeable waiter, Luke, mesmerized us as he guided us through the menu . We started with Death by Gumbo and Beer Battered Crab Beignets that were unbelievable! For our main courses my husband enjoyed the Triptych of Quail and I had the Sheep Ricotta Gnocchi with Lobster.
At the edge of French Quarter madness we found a pearl in Restaurant R’evolution and highly recommend it without reservation or hesitation.

This was our number one restaurant in New Orleans. The service and food blew us away. I had to try the venison which is the best I have ever eaten. I was surprised when I was given a butter knife to cut it but it glides through. I probably could have used a fork alone. My wife had the ricotta gnocchi with lobster. It was amazing. We definitely will be back.

As always our meal was superb! The service was excellent and very accommodating of dietary restrictions. We were seated close to the door opening to the bar so a little noisier than usual and a little annoying as the door kept opening as other tables were seated and guests departed. Overall a great experience and would highly recommend!

We sat at the bar, and Bryan the bartender took exceptionally good care of us. The Beef tartare was excellent along with the bone-in filet. My wife had the gumbo that came with stuffed quail. Everything from the service, to the drinks, to the apps and main course was superb!

We had a very nice dinner and drink at the bar. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The wine options are fairly unlimited. We were also provided a tour of the kitchen which was great to see such a cleanly ran operation and it is as you would expect at this price point.
