2nd time at this restaurant and it wowed is again. The best meal we have ever had. Service is impeccable.
This was my second visit. First time total experience 5 stars. Not so much this weekend. Crab Beignets okay, somewhat bland and remoulades didn’t help. Quail entree dry. Wine good. Service okay. Seated at counter overlooking kitchen and we were a bit of an afterthought to busy waiter. That said, I’ll go back again next time in NOLA. Hopefully, recent experience was due to an off night.
Wow, enjoyed everything about this restaurant!
Whenever we are in the Crescent City we HAVE to go to Restaurant R’evolution. Each and every time the visit is exceptional! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the service is excellent. They pay attention to every detail. The food is way up there on the deliciousness scale. I like to try a different entree each time and I’ve never been disappointed. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. (But, you must try their “Death by Gumbo”) This is the one place that you cannot miss when in New Orleans!!!
Bar and hostess staff at the front could use some lessons in customer service. Once inside the restaurant the experience was much better. Wait staff very friendly and informed but in some instances lacking in attentiveness Or distracted with their larger parties providing for a less than consistent experience. The food was absolutely exquisite and makes up for it all - Our compliments to the chef!
The Death by Gumbo is the best thing I've ever eaten....great food! Fire grilled oysters, Tomahawk Ribeye for 2, Creme' Brûlée Creole Cream Cheese Bread Pudding...It's all amazing! One of New Orleans best restaurants.
Always superb! Delicious food. Incredible wine list.
Outstanding food and service...gave us a great night memorable crab beignets
Everything was incredible, from the service, the cuisine, wine, ambiance, R’evolution should be on every foodies list!
Service & food was spot on. Our first meal at R’ and we will return.
An excellent meal in a very comfortable and well restored old building
Incredible dining experience!
Great place in New Orleans. Food and service was excellent, great upscale atmospher. After dinner went to the jazz bar next door inside the same hotel. All around great night
Good food, lovely atmosphere.
Everything was great. Will come back next time I’m in town.
Food was ok but not best dining experience. Menu just not there. Desserts too complex and heavy.
Food great, service great, a little too noisy, place let down by reception/hostess area
Scrumptious appetizers, dinner and desserts.
Restaurant and kitchen tour...magnificent!
A bit of a secret to the outside world, but a great find. One of the best finds we have made, lucked into it and were very happy. Food, atmosphere, staff, convenience, all are top shelf.
The four Gras torching had an odd taste and the lamb chops were super fatty but it is really worth a visit
Amazing food, one of our favorite turtle soups and gumbos in New Orleans. Service was off and disappointing on this visit though (they forgot about us for almost an hour). Still worth a visit!
Service was excellent. Travis was there to fill our needs before we got the chance to request anything. Food was presented beautifully. A wonderful dining experience
My husband and I went for our anniversary. Service and food were spectacular!
Wonderful restaurant but our waitress and the restaurant was extremely busy. We were not in a hurry thankfully but it took awhile to get our wine. Loved the soup I ordered. The ambiance was fine but not my favorite. I thought the wine list was fabulous too.
We use to love this restaurant. The food was still great but the portion size was laughable. The appetizers were bigger than my husbands fish entree. It was about 2x2 inches with the smallest crab cake I have ever seen! My dish tasted great but would not have been enough for most people. The service was great until the entrees were served and then we did not see our waiter for some time. We gave up on dessert and coffee and just asked for the check.
Knowledgeable and helpful. Excellent service in the grand style where the servers don't interrupt your conversation, wait til your dinner partner is finished before clearing plates.
Absolutely wonderful food. The crab beignets and stuffed gumbo are a must. I will go back!
Big end food, fantastic wine menu!
Upon recommendations of our dear friends, I made reservations at Restaurant R’evolution. We entered from the multitudinous waves of LSU/Alabama fans on Bourbon Street into a Culinary Heaven. Our very knowledgeable waiter, Luke, mesmerized us as he guided us through the menu . We started with Death by Gumbo and Beer Battered Crab Beignets that were unbelievable! For our main courses my husband enjoyed the Triptych of Quail and I had the Sheep Ricotta Gnocchi with Lobster.
At the edge of French Quarter madness we found a pearl in Restaurant R’evolution and highly recommend it without reservation or hesitation.
Food was excellent and service was amazing. Definitely for a special occasion.
This was our number one restaurant in New Orleans. The service and food blew us away. I had to try the venison which is the best I have ever eaten. I was surprised when I was given a butter knife to cut it but it glides through. I probably could have used a fork alone. My wife had the ricotta gnocchi with lobster. It was amazing. We definitely will be back.
As always our meal was superb! The service was excellent and very accommodating of dietary restrictions. We were seated close to the door opening to the bar so a little noisier than usual and a little annoying as the door kept opening as other tables were seated and guests departed. Overall a great experience and would highly recommend!
Wonderful contemporary cooking in elegant surroundings. This won’t be the cheapest dinner you’ll have in New Orleans but it might be the best!
R’evolution was one of the finest meals I have had in a long time. The service team (yes, a team) were knowledgeable, genuine and perfect. The food was impeccable, soulful and perfectly seasoned. And the wine selections were special. I am so glad that a friend referred me here - I was blown away.
We sat at the bar, and Bryan the bartender took exceptionally good care of us. The Beef tartare was excellent along with the bone-in filet. My wife had the gumbo that came with stuffed quail. Everything from the service, to the drinks, to the apps and main course was superb!
Service was excellent. Flavors were interesting. Menu favored red meat.
One of the best in New Orleans and arguably in the USA. Flawless service and great food.
We had a special dinner with friends after their wedding. They set us up in a private room - fantastic service and food was delicious!
Maybe brunch not the way to go. Great service just ok food. Good Bloody Mary
We had a very nice dinner and drink at the bar. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The wine options are fairly unlimited. We were also provided a tour of the kitchen which was great to see such a cleanly ran operation and it is as you would expect at this price point.
