While our waiter was kind and put forth effort, the service was poor from a logistical point, almost as if they weren’t trained. Cutlery wasn’t replaced between courses. And when our main courses came, the timing was so off that we couldn’t even enjoy our meal together. When our Dover sole arrived with our friend’s steak, they had to take it away to debone it. By the time it was returned, it was not only cold but our friend had already finished her meal. The basic timing of food delivery, and service logistics were off. And that impacted our enjoyment.

The room is impressive and very busy. You get the French menu with the option to ask for the English menu, maybe they could ask but I guess that is the concept. We had the prix-fixe menu and everything tasted great but the waiter asked if we wanted the vichyssoise hot or cold, we asked for cold but it came hot. The main was just a beef burger and sauce with fries, it tasted great but some vegetables would have been good. We ordered the dessert with the rest of the meal but were asked again after the mains, and they gave one of us the wrong dessert. They brought us the wine cooler 5 minutes before the wine which was a bit odd. During the meal someone came over to check our reservation which they had also checked when we arrived. There was a charge of about £2 on the bill which I don’t know what was for, and they had added a 15% service charge to the bill. A bit much for a fairly standard service. Overall a nice meal but service not amazing

Do not come here. Literally felt like we were at Disney world. We were rushed out, literally ordered ate and paid within 45 minutes. There’s better places to go in London.

Excellent as always. Servers went out of their way to bring my friend a cocktail from the bar on the ground floor. Thank you! Only slight wrinkle was that the celeriac remoulade was over salted.

Very helpful and kind staff when I mistakenly booked the restaurant instead of the cafe.

Another visit to Brasserie Zedel with a different friend. Always worth coming back to and, despite its location near Piccadilly Circus, you feel like it's a hidden gem. It has a good gluten-free menu and the best gluten-free bread offered in a restaurant. My friend and I both really enjoyed our starters and main courses - no room for dessert. Also love that you can get a carafe of wine rather than a bottle. I had the endive salad to start and the duck as a main course.
