Nestled opposite leafy Green Park, The Athenaeum Hotel & Residences champions the best of Britain. Guests can drink and dine at our Signature Restaurant or in The Bar & Terrace.

116 at The Athenaeum, our contemporary, British restaurant, features quintessential British decadent Mayfair Afternoon Tea. Served with premium English tea, lovingly crafted cakes, sandwiches, and scones served with clotted cream and Tiptree Jam. Afternoon Tea is an inclusive experience having vegan, vegetarian, savoury, and gluten-free options.

The Bar is a secret hideaway wrapped in the hotel's Living Wall. Featuring intimate nooks and plush seating, guests can sip on signature cocktails, savour a whiskey from our extensive collection, nibble on light bites, or perform a whiskey masterclass. The secret garden extends to the outdoor Terrace. Guests can enjoy the full bar menu outdoors, on plush seating, sheltered by large umbrellas with heaters and blankets during the colder months.

Lovely and attentive staff who spoke knowledgably about the afternoon tea experience. Food delicious and tea plentiful. Lovely atmosphere to relax and enjoy the experience. Excellent value for money

Enjoyed a fabulous afternoon tea and the team even had a snack box for my pooch which was just amazing - so hospitable. Would go back and would definitely recommend

Such an amazing experience! We loved the fruit salad tea and the delicious pastries. The candy at the end was such a treat as well!

We have been to this establishment a number of times. although the service is very good , they had forgotten it was our Anniversary , although mentioned on the booking form. The place was very quite and looking very tired. food was acceptable but not exciting.

Service was slow. Took around five minutes to be seen and seated. And it didn’t overly quick up afterwards I’m afraid. That said, the service was polite and friendly. The afternoon tea was good, I enjoyed it! Overall, it was average.

Great service. Fabulous food. Good looking restaurant in a central location. Very enjoyable and would definitely return again. Set menu price is excellent value when booked through Open Table.

Another excellent lunch at the Athenaeum. Really good food and selection from the set menu. Service was as we expect from this restaurant, really good. We will return.
