   We were disappointed that the restaurant ran out of the “special” prime rib, which was offered for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Our reservation was for 7:15 PM on Friday, and we were told that they had run out. Otherwise, everything was great

   A great overall experience! Our server Tony was knowledge and friendly with great recommendations! The cuisine was superb with excellent prime rib! We look forward to coming back.

   I love 5 Crowns, the food and the service are the best. We go to most of our holidays to 5 Crowns, and are probably there once every 6 weeks.

   We had such a beautiful dinner in the main dining room near the fireplace. We all had the Wagyu prime rib dinners. All the side dishes were fantastic, and the sourdough bread was the best ever. We did this for Easter and might want to make this our new family tradition. Beautiful restaurant inside and fantastic food and beautiful ambience.

   Oh, dear, how The Five Crowns has lost its way. First, my family has been going to FC for decades. It was a special place for special occasions. A little pricey, but consistent because of the trained staff and ambiance. The experience now is just so underwhelming. The entrance to a digital display, which screams chain restaurant, was only slightly balanced by the friendly hosts. Does one remember dress codes(?)--because t-shirts and even flip-flops were plentiful. Once seated, it was difficult not to notice that a nicely appointed table was pulled down by plastic, supermarket containers of Lawrey's easoning salt--a depressing contrast to nice flatware. ("Oh, can we buy them too?") A $15 sodawater with bitters and lime helped me digest excellent bread, which was served once and the overlooked and forgotten during the rest of the meal. Missmatched shrimp in a cocktail kept us entertained until other uninspired starters arrived. Look, the Crowns was NEVER known for its sides, but it was because of mains that regulars gave it a pass. Not so today. The "California" cut prime rib delivered in that it was thin, watery and begging for the companionship of unevenly cooked carrots floating in butter. I guess salt and pepper shakers were part of some trade embargo because they never showed up. The staff seems to be the most redeeming side of what was once The Five Crowns, which is totally outshined by The Side Door. It was depressing to see affluent old folks be fleeced of $300-400 per meal and on the way out be handed cardboard gift certificate for some other mainstream dining experience. Alas, some institutions are torn down and others, like The Five Crowns, simply decay into the status of, "is that place still in business?" Five Crowns: no longer a jewel of CDM, but rather the sandstone of culinary potential.

   Hadn’t been to five crowns in a very long time. We had a wonderful Easter dinner. Our waiter, Taylor, was the best. We will definitely return! Very special day.

    Outstanding food and service well worth the hour drive for our Easter Luncheon. Prime was delicious as was my herb crusted lamb. Our waitress Jojo provided magnificent service with a great support team.
