Crossroads refines the Los Angeles dining scene, and is helmed by culinary trailblazer, Chef Tal Ronnen. Highlighting small plate dining with a Mediterranean influence, Crossroads features the cuisine that Ronnen is famous for; beautifully presented plant based dishes that are flavorful and innovative. A rotating selection of custom-made libations, artisanal small batch spirits, and a thoughtfully crafted wine list complement the fare. The imaginative and ever-changing menu with dishes approached with a conscience manner, is inspired by seasonal Southern California ingredients.

The wine tasting hosted by Alex was great. She was very knowledgeable and made it fun while we sampled. The pizza and the arancini were delish! The 3 vegan wines were tasty and beautifully different. It was nice be able to ask some in-depth questions about wine from a professional!

The music was too loud to enjoy conversation. 4 of us were in a booth which also made the distance between us too far. In retrospect, I should’ve asked for a table or we could have sat across from each other. I don’t understand why restaurants have to turn the music up so loud. It forces their guests to speak louder than they need to, which takes away from the overall experience. The food was very good. Small portions.

Felt and tasted like an outdated chain restaurant rather an ‘upscale’ vegan eatery. The menu was rather boring, mostly vegan versions of what you would find in regular or chain restaurant; all the proteins were served with variations of mashed potatoes 🥱. Limited creative use of veggies and bland flavors. Service was poor and there was a push to upsell more than you needed (e.g., you should get at least 5-6 dishes to share; if you order a protein get an extra side of mash potatoes). Disappointing experience as a vegan, sense this restaurant is resting on its laurels. The reality is not aligned with the image and feel of the cookbook.

I visit Crossroads often. This time was probably the least enjoyable. The servers were very friendly but just nothing was complete. I asked for light dressing on kale salad it came with no dressing, my friend asked for mushroom with her eggs and never got them and was not made aware why, I asked for fresh black pepper and was brought a bowl or literally whole black pepper kernels then I asked someone else and they actually brought the grinder. I was quite surprised by all the issues.

I'm not sure what the point of making a reservation is when we still had to wait 45 minutes for our table this past Friday night - which was in the bar area since they have no two-tops in the main dining area. This restaurant needs to understand how to space reservations better. It's not right to keep people waiting, hence, the reservation. The 'plant based' food was interesting if you like fake food. I went to the bathroom three times the following day. No one was terribly friendly including the host, the waitress and the bartender. The ambience is nice, but this kind of food is not for us. I didn't like my pink switchblade drink, either.

Been to Crossroads a few times, the service has real down south.‘the food was good, but outside the squash blossoms, nothing special. And for the cost, not worth it.
