République, located in Miracle Mile, is owned by Chefs Walter and Margarita Manzke. Centered in the heart of Los Angeles, the historic building in which it resides was originally erected in 1929 by Charlie Chaplin, and later transformed into the iconic La Brea Bakery and Campanile Restaurant. République builds on this storied past, offering a gastronomic environment imbued with history and grandeur. The space features a casual bakery, café, and bar in the front with a more formal dining area located in the rear, serving a French-inspired menu created daily by our chefs.

This experience is designed for any party size under 6, and is only available every Thursday and Friday at $250/person. ****** PLEASE NOTE: - Due to limited seating, dietary restrictions will be accommodated within reason. We unfortunately will not be able to accommodate vegan diets at this moment. - A 20% service charge and 4% Healthy LA will be added to your final bill. - Credit cards are required for the reservation. $75/person will be charged as deposit. It's non-refundable if guests no show or cancel within 72 hours.

    We were there for my husband’s birthday. The food was great, but they shall offer a birthday cake for the special day, not always waiting for customers to order one.

    Food was excellent. The restaurant is beautiful and the back dining room was very comfortable; not too noisy so easily able to have a conversation (table of 4). My only complaint was the constant hovering of the staff. Not 2 seconds had passed since putting our forks down and they were clearing our plates. It felt as though we were being rushed to finish and get out. Definitely not the French style of dining.

    Always a favorite LA dining experience. Delicious food, excellent wine by the glass options, attentive service. An energetic, buzzy vibe, but not too loud to enjoy conversation with friends.

    This place is worth every penny. Everyone is so nice, the upstairs is exquisite, and the food. My goodness. Went for a birthday and a handwritten card was waiting for the Birthday boy. The dietary restrictions weren’t an issue. It was absolutely fabulous.

    Average food taste for this kind of prices, cocktails are fine but nothing special, knew about that place and wanted to visit but nothing special, you can go one time only to try. Staff is very nice though
