This was our first time enjoying the Sunday Buffet at the Regency Room. We had out-of-town guests, and I wanted to show them something historic in Roanoke. Everything was so lovely! The food was very delicious, and our waiter, Bobby, took splendid care of us, and our guests were impressed. I'm looking forward to our next visit.

What an enjoyable experience. Special treat for my daughter from DC in town for 20th HS reunion as well as her boyfriends Birthday. Food was excellent, so many great choices to select from. everyone from the servers at the different stations to our Waitress, Robbie were delightful, enjoying what they do and making everyone feel comfortable and focussed on us having an enjoyable experience. Could not have had a better time.

We were celebrating a favorite cousin couple's 35th wedding anniversary. Although the weather was iffy with a lot of rain lately, we chose to eat outside, then to have dessert in The Regency Room. The chairs were comfy and the view was spectacular as we people watched guests coming and going to the Hotel Roanoke. Additionally we had a lovely view of the Wells Fargo tower and the beautiful landscaping that surrounds the Hotel. We all ordered the steak with potatoes and asparagus. There wasn't a single thing left on anyone's plate Perfectly cooked steak. The only very slight negative is that our potatoes were not as hot as we would have liked but it's difficult getting everybody's meat cooked perfectly and plated where everything is exactly the right temperature. For dessert, we chose the Bananas Foster for 2 and our guests chose the key lime dessert. Both were outstanding and the presentation of the Bananas Foster couldn't have been better. Although we stepped inside for dessert and to listen to the jazz trio, we had a late seating so the trio didn't play much longer after we got inside. However, what we were able to hear was beautiful... and all music that we, in our age group, knew and loved. We will definitely be back to this beautiful Hotel from a much grander time the next time we have a special event to be celebrated.

We were greeted and seated promptly. Our service was top notch. From the appetizer to the dessert, the food preparation and presentation was excellent. We were celebrating an anniversary and enjoyed a complimentary glass of sparkling wine and a dessert. A great experience.

Crab cakes did not disappoint our high expectation, and the choice of one (appetizer menu) or two (main event menu) was welcome. Broccoli, requested to be cooked tender, was perfectly prepared. Two celebrations occasioned our visit... everything was elegant, presented in gracious manner, and we agreed we enjoyed our finest family time together in a long while.

We just moved to Roanoke, and this was our first dining experience at the Regency room. The peanut soup was the saddest disappointment I’ve ever had at a meal experience. It was runny and flavorless. I had shrimp and scallops on a corn cake and the dish consisted of two scallops and two shrimp. It was excellent, but there was far more corn cake than seafood to go with it. I wish the tasty creamy sauce that was included in that dish could’ve been added to the thin Peanut soup! The service was great, and we loved the jazz ensemble. My dining companions’ meals were satisfactory and acceptable. For the prices, I wish that I had had a better experience.

Outstanding Service and the food was delicious. Our Anniversary Dinner was amazing and we were treated very Kindly by all staff. Dinner Band was a treat as well.

Service was great, staff was very friendly, jazz band was nice atmosphere. Oysters Rockefeller- I liked them, wife did not. Only order if you like oysters Shrimp and Scallop Chesapeake-this dish was amazing, we both loved it. Creme Brûlée and Key Lime cake for desserts were excellent, French Press coffee was great. We were celebrating a wedding anniversary and the experience was great. Would definitely recommend

Our party was dining to celebrate many years of friendship and common history including many experiences at the hotel. We were very pleased with the renovations and the architectural features that were preserved and are so unique and charming. The staff at the restaurant couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful and the meals were exceptional. I do think that the newest person on the team, who served us water and told us that he played the piano, should be allowed at least one or two opportunities each night for the benefit of the guests. I'm only half joking. Thanks for a wonderful evening.
