I made reservations for Radiah and Rye on October 15 for a November 29 meal. My sister and I planned our trip home from Thanksgiving in Phoenix for a stop at this restaurant after having tried to eat there one other time and finding it closed. I received a confirmation email on November 28 requesting that I respond that we would be there on the 29th. It stated that the reservation was good for two hours due to the high demand for tables and that it would be held for 10 minutes only, so if we were going to be late, please let them know. I did respond to the email that yes, we were looking forward to dining with them. We arrived at the restaurant 10 minutes early just to make sure we would be there on time, to find it closed. I understand that we are facing difficult times and I hate with this virus has done to the restaurant industry. I want to support restaurants as much as possible! But surely someone has a list of reservations and they could have called or texted to let me know that the situation in Santa Fe had changed and that the restaurant would be closed. I would’ve understood why. What I don’t understand is that when you have a reservation for a month and a half and send a confirmation the day before and then we drove 1200 miles to find it closed, it’s not cool. I won’t try again. This is the second time I have driven 1200 miles toTry and eat at this restaurant. I’m sure it’s fabulous… That’s why I wanted to die in there, but there are other choices.
Our dinner at Radish and Rye was simply spectacular. The smoked bourbon drinks were and art form to behold and taste. The food from appetizers to dessert was the best. Our waiter Adam was excellent, every recommendation was personalized and his attention to detail and delivery of service was exceptional. We can’t wait to dine here again!
The food was great and in a timely manner. The staff was supper friendly and helpful
I love the ambiance of Radish&Rye. Very intimate and cozy in the inner room and very buzzy in the outer glass enclosed room. Feels like I'm in New York. The food is outstanding. We enjoyed a bowl of gumbo. I had a small plate of smoked chicken and wedge salad which was very good and just the right amount of food for me. My husband had trout which was perfectly cooked and not dry like so many thin fillets can be. The side of mushrooms we shared was outstanding. My only problem with the restaurant is the wine and drink list. There are not many affordable selections (by that I mean bottles of wine under $40). Other than that, I would recommend the restaurant. It is one of my husband's favorites in town.
Dinner at Radish and Rye was a delightful experience! The ambiance is warm, welcoming and elegant: tables set with crystal, nice flatware and votive candles. The waitstaff is well-informed about all the menu items. But be sure to bring your smartphones, as there are no printed menus.
I am not in the habit of looking at my phone in restaurants, and wish nobody was, but today you may need it just to see a menu.
We were unable to see a wine list at all, so we ordered martinis. The fried shrimp appetizer was crisp on the outside and juicy inside. The bread and radish basket featured the great bakery next door (Sage) and giant radishes, but at $7 extra is pricey. The grilled steak over celery root purée was perfectly executed; the trout was slightly overcooked, but the corn pudding was worth the trip. Sadly, we ate too much and had no room for dessert, because the list looked luscious—pecan pie and flourless chocolate cake, among others, plus a wide selection of Ports and bourbons.
Excellent dinner. Definitely going back!
Visited Radish & Rye to celebrate our first night in Santa Fe and a birthday. Great service and food in a cool atmosphere. Loved the music and vibe.
If you are considering a trip to Santa Fe, Radish & Rye is a dining experience you don’t want to miss. The wine list is well curated with a wide range of price points. The food is outstanding! It is excellently prepared, expertly presented and so creative. Chef even stopped by when the meals were delivered ... a touch of class! While I am not a “Bourbon Guy”, I know enough to share that the bourbon selection is extensive. A final word for any chocolate lover out there ... the Flowerless Chocolate Cake was devine!!
Our favorite go-to for date night. It's our re-set, our place where we know we will be cared for and our bellies made happy!
Yummy cocktails, fresh food, fun waiter very enjoyable evening
So disappointed. Skip it
This was my first time at the new location, and I brought three first time guests with me. Everyone LOVED it. As avid whiskey fans, we were very excited to try all the creative libations. We had a lot of dietary accommodations, including a nut allergy, keto, and celiac guests and almost nothing had to be avoided or adjusted for us-what a welcome surprise! We totally deferred to our fabulous server's recommendations for pairings and were not disappointed one bit. The ambiance is beautiful, the service impeccable, and the tasting delectable. It could be considered a bit loud for those who are sensitive to that issue, but it could have been we were seated in an area that was a bit louder than other tables. We cannot wait to return!
Amazing meal and amazing service! Fantastic rare bourbon list as well. We'll definitely be back when in Santa Fe.
This restaurant is my favorite in Santa Fe and it has never disappointed. They serve the most delicious pork chop, have amazing whiskey cocktails, and have a very professional and friendly waitstaff. I strongly recommend to all!
Had a great meal with wine selection. Seasonal ingredients, beautifully plated.
Everything was great!
Great food and hospitality
Eclectic, creative food with layers of flavor. We made a dinner out of appetizers, delicious bourbon cocktails, and their bourbon butter cake for dessert. The service and ambience were wonderful and they followed strict covid-19 protocols. We discovered it by accident, but I would send friends or family there in a heartbeat.
Waiter not personable. They were out of the wine and one of the dishes we ordered. Told us was because it was Sunday evening and since they closed on Mondays didn’t make enough. Salmon was good.
I was told this was one of the best places in Santa Fe. It was indeed a special venue with a great ambience and decor. It was difficult to get a time to dine, and my overall experience was just ok. The food was tasty, but very salty. The presentation was excellent and a must try drink is their bourbon shrub (I don’t know the exact special name). I gave it a 4 because the service was just ok for being a special place to go. I made reservations and still had to wait 20 minutes to get a table and it took about 10 minutes to even let someone know we arrived. The staff seemed tired and didn’t want to be there, which was my disappointment. It makes an experience special when you feel welcomed and invited. Perhaps it was just an ‘off’ night, but It wasn’t crowed and there were few people dining, even with a limited amount of tables. I was just disappointed to spend my last night in town somewhere that you felt rushed in & out. I do recommend this venue and would return, but wanted to share my experience.
Laurel was the best server/bartender. We had fabulous drinks a great meal and a wonderful experience. Get the ribs and the beet salad. Enjoy the bourbon.
Ribs and Fried Green Tomatoes were favorite apps. Although chowder with bone marrow was also amazing. Ribeye is a huge cut done to perfection. Pricey but worth every penny!
Skip the dessert and the green chili bake but everything else we tried was excellent!
We had a lovely dinner and felt very safe. They staff is top notch, as is their food and cocktails. We will definitely be back soon.
Fantastic food, fantastic service! Highly recommend!
This place is outstanding. The waiter was amazing and the food was so good!
Not the best overall experience BUT the food was superb and I would still recommend this establishment with the caveat that when I visited the service was very poor...The hostess/manager(?) was very kind and at the end of our meal removed a few drinks from our bill. However, it was too late to make up for the lack of communication throughout the evening from our server about a very long wait (a table seated after us got their food before us for no apparent reason) and repeated mishaps. I would rather know what to expect and at least get to eat the bread and butter side dish I ordered while waiting.
Also...be warned that outside seating can be very loud...on the night we were there, muffler-less trucks/motorcycles were racing up and down the street in front of the restaurant. One of the drivers even threw a beer bottle at the restaurant and it broke a few feet from our table. Nothing they can do about that but again, some acknowledgment that they're sorry people were throwing bottles from the street would have been appreciated.
Wonderful place. The owner made sure we felt welcome and the entire staff was superb. We went for drinks the night before and we so impressed we had to come back and try it out for dinner.
Excellent service and delicious food. Rib app, Fried green tomato, Salmon entree, bourbon cake all outstanding!
Food, drinks and service was excellent. Environment and music was also added to the wonderful experience.
Great ambiance, solid food and friendly staff. Definitely recommend!
The food was great...however, I thought the hostess was a bit odd, she made us wait to sit even though the place was empty. We reserved a bar area table which was given to someone else and we were given a table next to the door. I just felt that was disrespectful, considering we had a reservation and not a walk in.
Also, the Open Table dinner coupon didn't work, which was the reason my friend and I went out to dinner that night. The server had said they had issues with the open table coupons, just good to know for future.
Adam L. Was an amazing server. Butter cake was off the charts good
Ribeye was juicy and flavorful also best salad I’ve ever had and highly recommend the Abuelito drink
Everything was wonderful and I loved the ambiance. Parking was easy and we were able to be seated right away with our reservation although we were a few minutes late. The staff was friendly and kind. The only thing that could have been better was that when we ordered bread, it was served cold and both my partner and I commented that it would have been better warm. But other than that, everything was wonderful!
I know it's tough times but this visit was not as memorable as the last time. The food was not prepared as well as 8 months ago. Some items were not available even when they were on the menu. Service was great.
Had the red snapper and a glass of white wine - $40 The food was good, slightly under seasoned, well prepared.
Food was sub par. Drinks were very exspense and small.
When discussed how the food was dry there was no recourse from the server. Also didn’t have certain liquor in stock.
Great food and dining experience!
They seem to have trouble locating the wines on their wine list. Otherwise food excellent.
Great time on the mini patio!
