We were there for restaurant week. We tried the chicken schwarma boudin balls and found them to be a delightful appetizer. They were light and served with a delmi sauce that made them a new favorite for when we eat there. The entrees were items Zoroona's did not normally have on the menu and we were told their appearance on the menu depended on diner's reactions to them. I had the lamb osso bocco primarily because I have never tried that dish before. Well it was well prepared, and I am glad I tried it, it is not something I would order again. Lamb is a staple of the middle east and does belong on a Mediterranean menu, however, I find myself not a fan of lamb. Perhaps a beef shank prepared in this manner might interest me more. My wife had the Chicken Marengo, which I tasted and we both agreed should find a permanent place on Zoroona's menu. It has an interesting and pleasant blend of Mediterranean spices. Placed on the menu, we will definitely order this item in future visits. Desert consisted of the almond creame cake and the chocolate mouse. While the mouse was very rich in flavor, I found it a bit heavy after a large meal. The almond creame cake on the other hand was a far lighter dessert. Its flavors were far more subtle than the mouse and seemed to invite additional tastings. It has a sponge like cake for a base soaked in an almond flavored liquid with a whipped cream like topping covered with almond slices. This definitely will be our dessert of choice at Zoroona's in the future.

The place is beautiful and spacious. The tables were covered in linen. We were given hot rosemary bread with an oil mixture to begin our meal. Everything we ordered was delicious. We had the fried Kubbi, a gyro, a chicken shawarma platter, and Zoroona's chicken. The portions are big and flavorful. I did not expect quality Mediterranean food in Baton Rouge, but this place has the best!

Terrible experience. 45+ minutes for dinner to come out, after waiting 20 min for salads. Owner would not come to table to discuss, sent waitstaff to handle issue. We were told the issue was due to a large party in adjoining room ordering at the same time, when we left no one was in the room. Will not go back, and do not recommend.
