The name Zacatlán surged from the origins of our chef, Eduardo Rodriguez. He was born in Zacatecas, Mexico (north-central Mexico), which is defined as "the habitants of the land where grass grows". Zacatlán is the nahuatl translation for "land with an abundance of grass", and that is where our idea of Zacatlán Restaurant began.

Zacatlán Restaurant desires to continue to preserve the traditions for our upcoming generations, while bringing forth new flavors. These new flavors incorporate Southwestern and Mexican influences. We are established near the Santa fe Plaza, right off of Guadalupe Street. We want to unveil a new fusion of food for everyone in Santa Fe and those who visit.

What a wonderful culinary treat in Santa Fe. The food was exceptional as was the Service. The starter Crab & Bib Lettuce Salad was huge and quite tasty. The entrees (Mexican Prawns and Short Ribs) were spot on and contributed to a most enjoyable evening. The Chef is quite creative and has a remarkable understanding of the subtle flavors that truly make a meal unique. The table service was also exceptional. I look forward to our next visit in the near future.

Had an amazing meal here. We were taken care of very well by the staff and our waiter. The cocktail was magical The taste of everything we ordered was exceptional Our waiter just requested gluten free flour for our fish when he learnt that one of us was gluten free Good portion and just a wonderful experience. Will visit again

We had a really outstanding meal here and the restaurant is very warm and beautiful. The service is excellent. My wife’s shrimp special was outstanding. Can’t wait to return.

Fabulous experience -- great-tasting food, innovative preparation, beautiful presentation! Service was great. Love the space. Our only issue was a very loud party next to us, and there wasn't anything the restaurant could do about them,. I can't remember our server's name, but when she found out we were there for my birthday, she comped us a plate of fabulous churros, with a birthday candle :-). I'd nominate this for Best Restaurant of Santa Fe!!

This was our first time to dine at Zacatlan. It has been recommended by several friends. We had brunch on Sunday and the food including the Bloody Maria’s was so fresh, innovative and delicious. I had the avocado toast with smoked salmon…fabuloso. The huevos rancheros Zacatlan and squash blossom omelet were equally fabuloso. The service was attentive and the atmosphere was perfect. We will return.

This is our favorite restaurant in Santa Fe and always make a point of booking a reservation when we travel there. Jose was thorough with his description of menu items. The passion fruit gazpacho was a stand out. The meat on the pork shank mole fell off the bone, was succulent and the tortillas were the perfect accompaniment. Kudos to the Chef and Jose for making our dining experience enjoyable.

The food was absolutely outstanding very fresh. Well presented. A lot of thought process was in it. The Mexican prawns were absolutely delicious and the lamb shank was even better.

Terrific food, service, atmosphere in an old adobe home just off Guadalupe Street. I had the branzino a white fish like sea bass. A portion so large I had half for breakfast on a toasted bagel the next morning. Excellent flavors and delicious sides. My friends had the ceviche, large enough for an entree though billed as a starter, and one had the soup which she said was very satisfying. We were so full we had no room for dessert, although no GF or dairy-free options for me. Would return in a heartbeat.
