Everything on the plate had a purpose. The kitchen perfectly executed everything. The server was knowledgeable and kind. The frozen punch was the best I've had. The amount of food was perfect - great value for the price and quality without leaving me hungry or stuffed. From start to finish, one of the most pleasant meals I've had in Austin. Not a bad moment.
Greta food and atmosphere. Some of the menu items changed on their presentation, but still the same good taste.
We went here for a bridal brunch of 7 people. Overall, we had a wonderful time. Our food was amazing and drink delicious. Our only issue was there very long stretches between times our waitress would stop by the table. A couple of times we had to go order stuff from the bar. I could not tell if she was the only waitress and the other staff did try to help her out. The comped us a round a drinks and I think might have discount a few. All that being said, everyone working that day was wonderful. Our waitress did her best to power through, what I can only imagine was a staffing, scheduling issue. I would definitely go back again and would recommend to other people. This was my second time eating here and I know they can provide good service. Looking forward to next time.
Amazing dinner and great service!
Great experience! Came here for a pre-theater dinner before a show at Bass Concert Hall, just 5 minutes away. Excellent food. Wow, churrasco was perfect and seared drum couldn’t have been more moist or flakey. Great appetizers and drinks, very attentive service. Atmosphere was a perfect blend of casual and chic. Another great East Austin find!
The Cebiche was too small, and I did not like the anticuchos.
Great food and service. Quality matched price but could be a bit more generous with the portion size.
Cocktails were great, ceviche was good, but lomo saltado was terrible and expensive (rice was tasteless, beef was burnt). The server wasn’t very friendly, either.
If you like pisco - go for drinks and maybe some HH appetizers. I found most of the food wasn't that tasty (tried the anticuchos, pork belly buns, empanadas, classico ceviche) and on the pricey side. The yuca croquettes were good. The calamari was typical/nothing special. The chimichurri steak was delicious. The chicken thighs were okay. All-in-all, an expensive meal, probably not returning.
I visited from San Francisco CA and have had tried many different Peruvians restaurants all over the country. This particular restaurant was overpriced for small portions. $150 for three plates? Our server was touching his teeth’s before bringing our food...
As always the food and service was exceptional. One of our favorite restaurants.
we had our second dinner at yUYO and absolutely loved it
Great vibe. Great food. Fresh and tasty and several health conscious options. Cannot wait to return! Thanks, Matt! You were extremely attentive!
Absolutely lovely restaurant for all occasions. Food, ambiance, service, and setting just lovely. Deliciosa.
Excellent. Great service, delicious food - perfect.
Best meal I've had in a long time. Went there for restaurant weeks. Will be going back for the full menu.
Lovely, little spot. The tasting menu that we tried was hit/miss on some items (and too pricey), but the regular menu looks great. We will return.
Firstly, this is one of the few restaurants I've been in that is actually immaculately clean and maintained. There were no surfaces aside from baseboards that showed even the faintest signs of wear. The wait staff is friendly, patient, and very knowledgeable about the food and where it's sourced from. Most, if not all, of the produce is locally sourced.
We started with the Plata criolla and the empanadas. Both were really good, but the palta was stellar. Rarely are shrimp cooked this perfectly. My wife had the veggie plate and I had the churrasco. I felt that the veggie plate was about half the size it should have been, especially for the price, but everything on it was super tasty. The churrasco really shined here - it seemed like a flank steak or something similar, but was in no way tough and was cooked to perfection. I enjoyed the different textures and flavors of the various potato cultivars that were served with the steak - there is a much greater difference than you would think. My only complaint about the steak was that it should have had double the chimichurri on it, at least. The steak flavor was so bold you could barely even taste the chimichurri, which is usually a pretty bold flavor. We ordered the picarones and lucuma sundae for dessert, and both were really good. The doughnuts were just a tad overcooked, but otherwise tasty, and the syrup was delicious with a faint savory note to it. The dulce de leche combined with the lucuma ice cream was simply divine.
Great creative menu, good ambiance and service and on top of that not too $$$!!
Great ceviche and cocktails! But really, all of the food was outstanding. The staff was attentive and responsive. The decor is lovely. It was a great evening.
I loved the warm and friendly vibe of Yayu Peruano. It was a place where you could have a great, fun experience with friends or a date. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The ceviche was to die for! Will definitely go back soon.
We absolutely love Yuyo! The food and drinks are amazing! The place has a cozy, chic ambiance.
Great service, excellent food, nice ambience in the patio area. They have mister fans in the patio that make even the heat of Austin bearable. The inside was very noisy so preferred to sit outside.
Food was very tasty, very authentic, not your typical “mexican” stuff. Presented very artfully. Great cocktails.
Service was with the most beautiful smiles!
Very good brunch food. Attentive and friendly wait staff. Will go again for dinner.
I really never write reviews but I felt compelled to. The food was bland, the staff was inattentive, and I honestly was underwhelmed with the experience. The prices are good but honestly I wish the food was better. I’m not that picky but it was really just bland.
Fit for foodies looking to try something new. Excellent service with knowledgeable staff. Noise level inside is high.
I wish I could remember our server's name. She was absolutely fantastic!
The noise level was great outside. Inside is a little louder. And the fans with mist outside work great!
Food and service was fantastic!
Wonderful food, excellent service, beautiful space
Delicious food, especially the fish! The pisco drinks were tasty. The interior is cute and casual. I’ll definitely go back.
We have been trying several restaurants since moving to Austin a couple of months ago and have only been disappointed once! This place ranks at the very top of our list for quality of food for the price! We ordered 3 entrees to share and had two cocktails and the bull was under $100! AND every bite was absolutely delicious!!! We will take visitors here EVERY time! Also - the cocktails we had were some of the best we’ve had - not too sweet, well balanced and still enough kick. This place was a complete slam duck for us!!!
I've been here both for happy hour and for brunch and the service and food quality has been amazing each time. The space is cozy and easy to bring a small group of friends to. I made a reservation because I know the inside seating is limited, but I actually don't think I really needed it. It wasn't too packed. I've been recommending this place to literally anyone who will listen. This is a great place to come for just cocktails and appetizers, but the entrees are delicious too.
Amazing food, great look and feel inside and on patio. Highly recommend! Make sure to get a cebiche appetizer and the donuts for desert!!!
Great food and service on their great outdoor patio
We love the food and atmosphere. It's a family favorite!
Our first time at Yuyo. Really good steak and Yucca chips with Aji Amarillo.
The food was amazing, we ordered about 7 dishes and they were all great. Food was delicious and presentation beautiful. Ceviche El Capitan is highly recommended. Our waitress was very helpful and her recommendations on how to mix and eat each dish was spot-on and made a difference on flavors and experience.
Always great staff, food, and drink at Yoyo. Very much enjoyed seeing Allison and Samantha again as well as talking with someone new whose name I did not get.
We were gathering for dinner before theater and were initially seated at a table Where the setting sun was right in the eyes of two of our friends. The Restaurant and staff were unable after considerable effort to correct this and so we were moved to another table. Once at this new table the food came quickly those somewhere in between this the drink I had ordered was lost And I’m not even sure if we were charged for it As we were rushing to pay then leave for the theater. The staff was very friendly. Our waitstaff was quite capable. In the future I will choose to sit inside.
