It's a great place for dim sum and socializing!
We had low to no expectations because we've heard different comments about Yauatcha. Well, we had a really great experience. We fortunately got "Z" as our server and he was excellent. He suggested the best items to order based on his experience and popularity. He also suggested a really nice bottle of red wine. The food is like being in Hong Kong without having to take an airplane. We were so impressed with Z and the food that we went back the next night. Thanks Z for your great service. We will definitely be returning.
Great vibe, excellent service, tasty food. It's pricey for dim sum but the quality is very good. We got the Taste of Yauatcha for $58 and were stuffed. Definitely lots of food and delicious. Sat outside and the vibe was great. Service was perfect, friendly, helpful and attentive. While it's a little pricey to make this an every day spot it was perfect for a special date night. Also the cocktails are very good.
Food was fresh and divine in taste as always. Jimmy from the kitchen who delivered our food was pleasant, professional, and attentive to the detail of all our dining needs. The happy Chinese busser from Puerto Rico had an infectious smile and his good energy and eagerness to help made our meal even more delightful.
It’s good. Kinda American, but in a fantastic way. I really enjoyed the food here.
Good food with great service and good value for money
Extraordinary food, service, and always committed to excellence. Food is delicately flavored, consistent, and temperature is always perfect. Crispy duck salad, aromatic duck with pancakes, and cheung fun dishes are full of flavor.
Been to Yauatcha several times and haven't disappointed. The dim sum is creative and delicious, the roasted duck pumpkin puff is pleasing to look at and tasty to boot!
Consistently good service and food.
This is definitely a young people funky Chinese cuisine restaurant. Nice decor. Music way too loud to have a decent conversation.
Our Waiter Michael was as exceptional as the food. Great experience
Roasted duck is very nice
Beautiful restaurant, prime location, exquisite appointments, excellent service and most importantly, fabulous food. Everything was tasteful and artistic, without being pretentious Every dish was a work of art, carefully prepared and very delicious! Our waiter (from Arizona) was attentive and his suggestions were spot-on and made the meal even more enjoyable. He even arranged to charge my phone while we were dining! At his suggestion, we added the crispy bean curd roll ups and were not in the least disappointed- they were so delicious and lovely to see. The hamachi was expertly prepared and so tasty. The desserts were lovely to look at and delicious! Do not miss this dining experience-we will Definitely return again as soon as we can! Do not change a thing! We have dined at 3 star Michelin restaurants in Florence, Italy and in Paris, France, and Yauatcha rates with them! Thank you!
We loved dining outside with the warm breeze. The food was fresh and the service excellent. A young girl from San Diego with a degree in Marine Biology served us. Thank you.
Fabulous. Great tasting menu
Love love love
Once there, we decided to have a dumpling “party”. Everything was amazing! The service, ambiance and of course the food. From dim sum, to steamed buns to dumplings all were perfectly prepared and served. The pork shumai was included in each round of orders and disappeared immediately! Going back for a quick lunch on the way to the airport. Don’t pass this place up when you’re in Waikiki.
Yauatcha was a wonderful meal with excellent dim sum choices served family style. It definitely falls into the category of upscale dim sum but everything was perfectly prepared and well seasoned. There were some dishes with considerable heat so if you are not into spice you should ask before ordering but if you are they were outstanding! Overall a great meal with excellent ambiance and a wide range drinking menu including some great tea options.
Excellent service, food was delicious.
My group is a group of law firm retirees and once a month we hit a different restaurant. This one was worth the drive in to Waikiki, parking was wonderful, the wait staff was exemplary and the food was extraordinary. We would all definitely come back.
service and food were both awesome! had a great time.
Food was best of dimsum restaurant.
Service was nice.
Amazing Yakitori, totally authentic , having lived in Tokyo for 12 years, authentic yet creative new skewers contrasting traditional ones. Very interesting and impressive wine list. An amazing experience and cannot wait to go back! Not to be missed! Amazing food, ambiance, decoration and very professional yet friendly staff. Congratulations!
We came because of Restaurant Week and were able to try a variety for a reasonable price. Otherwise, this is special occasion dim sum. Pretty expensive on the dim sum spectrum. The desserts were the best!
The food was tasty and fresh as always. The service is exceptional as well. The Duck and Pumpkin Puff was delectable . The Raspberry Delice was divine. A wonderful dining experience all-in-all!
This is always my favorite place to dine! The ambience is amazing and the food never disappoints!
Best dim sum I ever had! Food tasted great & not greasy like most of the dim sum in Hawaii.
We came here last night for my birthday, I’ve been twice before but this was my bf’s first time. They had a special menu going on this week but we decided to just order a la carte off the regular menu. We definitely ordered too much but we wanted to try everything, and it was all delicious! They were fairly busy but our server (Summer) was awesome! They also brought out our dessert and the cutest birthday plate and gave us 2 macaroons! I was very happy with dining here on my birthday and will definitely be back again!
We took advantage of Restaurant Week and had the special menu. The taste and presentation were excellent but the portion was not quite enough for lunch, so we ordered the seafood noodle dish, which was also very good. However, given the elegant atmosphere of this restaurant, they should provide oshibori (Japanese hot (moist) hand towels) at the beginning of the meal. Especially when the dessert is the sticky macaron, which could only be eaten as a finger food, it was very unpleasant not to be able to wipe off the sugar coating from my fingers with a damp towel. Please consider adding this service to every meal.
Additionally, they do not offer complimentary tea!
Manager went out of his way in bar and dining area to see how we were enjoying ourselves. He reminded us of the kamaaina discount and it was a nice way to end an excellent dinner! Food, drinks and service were great!
First of all, I would like to commend the Chef for the most exquisite and sumptuous dinner.Secondly, the ambience was just conducive for a quiet dinner. Lastly, thank you for the amazing dining experience.
Great unique alternative to traditional dim sum dining experience!
We had an awesome experience. Everything was perfect for this special day! The food was amazing and the the service was even more amazing!!!!!
Recommended by a friend. We had a variety of dim sum and all were excellent. Definitely worth a return trip to try the rest of the menu. Dessert was incredible.
Everything from the service to the food was wonderful!
Probably one of the best services I’ve had in a while, which was great. Friendly and helpful staff that are always smiling and checking up on you. The food was presently perfectly with great flavors to each dish.
