I always like Yauatcha ever since I tried them in London. I am glad to see consistency quality of them around the world. Since I live in Houston currently, this will be my frequent spot Yauatcha. Keep it up Yauatcha!

Really we mostly come for the desserts, which are to die for, though there seems to be less selection of late. They always have the macarons, but some of my other favorites (notably the passion fruit and the raspberry desserts) seem to have disappeared from the menu. The entrees are good, but a bit pricey for what you get. When they describe the Kwetio noodle, for example, it sounds really exotic and different, but I ordered it and it tasted exactly like Pad See Ew. Some things are more original, like the Morel dumplings, and their Hot and Sour soup has a really different flavor (not very hot, but quite sour), so they do kind of a creative take on some dishes but then some are more familiar (Kung Pao chicken, The chili shrimp and Singapore noodles for example). The service is pretty good and the atmosphere is really nice. It's a nice splurge when you're in the mood for upscale Chinese food. A nice place to take guests.

Not impressed. Service was slow and chaotic. Waiter did not coordinate our tables order and since you share plates brought us too much of the same thing. He brought one dish that we did not order, I had told him that I would wait on it, and he argued with me that I did order it instead of just taking it back. The repetitive beat of the music became annoying and we all could not wait to leave.

Great service and friendly staff. We sat an oval shaped table in the room with LED stars on the ceiling. The chairs around our table were a little damaged on the arm rests, probably from contact with the bottom of the tables. Not a big deal, but definitely something noticeable that could be improved. We will definitely be back soon!

This restaurant has probably lived its hype. Came in on a Saturday for lunch, it's so quiet with only a handful tables occupied. Very unusual for a restaurant located in Galleria mall. i could see why: the hostess doesn't make you feel welcome i.e. no greeting or a smile. we wanted an empty table by the window of which she said was reserved but when we left an hour and half later, that table was still empty - meaning she lied! The menu has not changed much since its opening. we asked about the mooncake as it's not on the menu (though we received an email about it) but the waiter said he has to asked someone to get more info. Really?

The food here was very delicious and unique, but the portions are extremely small (as you might expect with dim sum) and everything is extremely pricey. That said, the ambiance was very classy, even for just a lunch date, and the service is excellent. I would say this is more of an experience than a meal, and I would say it is overpriced, but it was still a nice experience. I couldn’t go here very often though.

You’re really only paying for the ambiance and experience ! There are plenty of other dim sum places that are much better and much less expensive - don’t come here just for the food, come here for the wow factor

This restaurant is so great. My daughter and I went for lunch and we ordered dim-sum selections. We had Wagyu beef rolls, spicy pork dumplings and prawn and caviar dumplings. All were outstanding. The drink selection is also wonderful. My kid had a ginger-whisky drink she loved and I had a lychee-coconut-vodka drink that tasted excellent. The restaurant is beautiful and a perfect place for a evening date night or a lunch date with your daughter. I whole-heartedly recommend this place.

Our party of 6 had a great time experiencing Yauatcha for the first time. We had the tasting menu and were impressed by many of the dishes. Service was a little slow at times, however, our server touched point with us many times throughout the beginning of the night to make sure that everything was going well.

Arrival early as Parking was difficult in the Galleria and they don't nearly have enough handicap parking. Valet is not complimentary. Yauatcha itself has excellent service and food. Our favorite was the Crispy Prawn Cheung Fun and we came to celebrate a birthday early. The complimentary dessert was the icing on the meal as the person wasn't expecting it. Their seating arrangement makes for some close quarters with other tables but the restaurant atmosphere and decor was lovely. The prices represent the area and high end service so I would recommend either being ready to dish out on the bill or enjoying the a la carte dim sum. They did have a promotional set course meal for charity and was a good selection if you are interested in the duck. Overall, it's a very nice experience and wouldn't mind coming back if you want a splurge meal.

We went to Yauatcha Houston for Father's Day dim sum with my parents and family. It was overall a good experience as the atmosphere was very classy and with lots of families having Father's Day celebrations there. Some dishes were different than the ordinary dim sum and were quite good - the lobster dumpling, wagyu puff but overall for the value I have definitely had better dim sum for cheaper and in similar settings. Also the wait between dishes were quite long and it took forever for our dessert to come out. Though I will have to say the desserts were probably the most amazing thing about the meal - the malted milk and the grapefruit mascarpone were both incredible as well as the sesame salted yolk balls.

The food is second to none!! Excellent!!!
The place is too “cafeteria” looking and the ambiance could be more cozy at night.
The hostess are not careful where they sit people. We were 4 adults dining at night and they placed us between 2 screaming parties of children at the second level, which we chose to be away from extreme noise.
The service was mediocre. We will comeback during the day with our own screaming children. NOT A PLACE FOR ADULTS TRYING TO HAVE A NICE MEAL.

Food was good but not great. Service was erratic. The appetizers arrived late but were quite good. The entrees for our four diners all arrived at different times requiring two to start eating to avoid eating cold food by the time the other entrees arrived.

Food, service and ambience was very good. Wine is a bit pricey compared to other similar restaurants.
Our waitress was excellent.
A bit to noisy on the inside. We went outside to have our desert and coffee as it was too noisy inside.

Food was decent but overpriced. Tables are placed too close to each other. When the waiter was trying to serve the table next to us, all of his backside was hovering over out table and food. We waited 45 minutes to get half of our food order. Then the waiter came and cleared our table and we reminded him we still had half of our food to be served to us. That took another 20 minutes. Dim sum should not take 1.5 to be served. The waiter ended up bringing out 5 of the 6 items we ordered. We had to remind him of this when the check came and all items were on the bill. It was our first time there. It’s a one time try kinda place.
