What Insiders Are Saying
The Melrose spot is dishing out cool, casual vibes with a healthy dose of sexiness.
Special event for Tacos Lobos. A bit of a free for all but great food at an incredible value.
This was a great evening tasting the new menu for Chef Marcel Vigneron's new restaurant, Tacos Lobos. Chef Marcel was there and interacting with the crowd, and trays of tacos were passed frequently.
I went to Wolf for the Tacos Lobos pop up event and it was so fun! The food was beyond amazing.
The “new next door” is now Tacos and it’s fast and fun. Tortillas are delicious and do say yes to the Pibil and the Margarita. Wolf is one of my favorite spots in LA — Thanks Marcel! Thanks Wolfpack!
Weekend brunch with friends. Great food and service. Loved it. A go to staple
Excellent food and service! I've been a few times and it's been great every time.
We came for a Sunday brunch. Our server, Olivia, was super friendly and did an amazing job. The cocktails were great, and the food was delicious.
very inviting and enjoyable ambiance: the wait staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. My friend and I came for Sunday brunch to celebrate her birthday; this was the first time either of us had been to WOLF and we were delighted by the innovative menu, and the variety of fresh, tastily prepared dishes. Perhaps because we are elderly, we found the music too loud for us to be able to hear other, and asked our wait person if it could be turned down just a little. She was very understanding and reassuring, and took care of our request immediately - and smilingly. Finally, a lovely little birthday cake with a candle appeared at the end of our meal, to a chorus of wait staff singing Happy Birthday. We will definitely be coming back to this gem of a restaurant, and recommend it wholeheartedly.
My 2nd Thanksgiving dinner here. Been here for brunch a few times as well. Never disappoints. Love this place. Marcel is super nice and an amazing chef and team leader. Would be an honor to work for him.
We had chosen Wolf based on prior reviews and were extremely surprised. The restaurant was fairly empty when we came for our 7:15 pm Saturday night reservation and this made us apprehensive. No need at all. The menu was inventive, the waitress extremely knowledgeable and the food outstanding. Highly recommend.
Catherine was perfect! Attentive, gave great recommendations, and everything was so delicious
OUTSTANDING! Best meal we had the entire weekend in LA!
Our brunch was delicious and had such surprisingly awesome details. My husband had the steaks and crispy eggs and the crispy egg was incredible. Perfectly cooked and wrapped in crispy fried hash browns. So good and definitely not something we could recreate at home. The bacon we shared was also spot on. Great service too. We can’t wait to try dinner and return for brunch!
Wolf is a true LA gem that never disappoints.
Everything was impeccable.
We can’t wait to return.
This was my second Wolf dine. I had the salmon on my first visit, which was brilliant! They knocked it out of the park again this time with the Roasted Chicken And Porcini Mushroom Cream. Daniel, the host, is super gracious and welcoming, both on the phone and in person. Lovely energy from the servers (Olivia, this time) seems to be a given. Very pleasant vibes in general. There's a sense that a good heart and soul are at the helm here.
Love this place. The Rissoto is the best I’ve ever had. The server Olivia is top notch too.
Great food, good place but dead by 10pm on a Saturday...
Will go back in a heartbeat. One of our best dinners in a long time.
Everything was great! The food was interesting combinations in a visually appealing way. Service was perfect for a relaxing, conversational dinner.
It is absolutely outstanding experience. From the beginning, greetings, atmosphere were lovely. Food was amazing and delicious. My favorite was dessert Eton Mess (meringue, berries, black tea ice cream and vanilla whip). I highly recommended this place for dinner, date and even coffee with dessert
Scrumptious food. Cozy atmosphere. I recommend the chicken liver pate, shishito peppers (that yuzu sauce is delicious) and the Tom Kah Pork Belly. For desert we had a Vietnamese coffee souffle, that was just eating a fluffy cloud!
Will go back and try some other things.
Everything was well executed and delicious. You must order the salmon.
Really good food and attention to service. I can't wait to come back and try some more items
Wolf is a neighborhood treasure that should not be missed. Do yourself a favor and go for the Chef’s Choice tasting menu.
Went early for Saturday dinner quietto start, very lively by the time we left
Food did not disappoint. Everything was delicious, prepared thoughtfully, served beautifully. Very enjoyable highly recommended
I forgot how much I like this restaurant. Our dinner of hamachi, grilled octopus and Salmon was great.
Four of us ordered the different dishes on the Prix-Fix. The vegetarian risotto was one of best restaurant risotto's ever with a generous portion of shaved truffle. Two of us felt the same way about the lovely cut of salmon and how perfectly cooked it was, a stand-out for this fish in a restaurant. And the side of braised vegetables with sun-dried tomatoes...super. Our friend's pork belly was spot on. Appetizers were novel. I don't take and post photos of my food but I could have done so with the apps as they were so beautifully arranged. Desserts...were just o.k. though the two who selected the Eton Mess were pleased.
Nice space, with lights that encourage intimacy. Great wait staff and service. We were able to converse . I've already recommended Wolf.
The food did not disappoint! The desserts, especially the Vietnamese coffee soufflé, could have been better, though. We left extremely full and thoroughly pleased with our meal.
The menu items that everyone loved: the chicken liver pate, the tomato soup, the octopus, the salmon, the pork belly, and the risotto. Everything else we ordered were also good, but these specific dishes were standouts.
We had the best time at Wolf. We opted for the "Trust the Chef" tasting menu and couldn't have been happier with it -- each dish was better than the last (not that we thought it was possible). The food was incredible, the service was top-notch, and getting to meet Marcel was the icing on the cake. They made our anniversary so special and we're so grateful.
Without a doubt, this was my best meal while in LA and ranks really high (like REALLY HIGH) on my list of best meal EVER. And, I eat at pretty good places when we travel, so I’m picky.
The food was just spectacular. Honestly, there was not one thing I would have changed. I’m so glad I did the “Trust the Chef” tasting menu. My favorites were the octopus and the oxtail ravioli (truly the best pasta I’ve ever eaten), but I loved them all. The plating was beautiful - very creative but purposeful and not overdone. I loved the touches of molecular gastronomy that enhanced the dish rather than taking it over in an inaccessible way. And, I was absolutely thrilled that the final savory dish featured foam - Chef Marcel’s trademark touch. (And, yes, it was delicious!)
Service was equally exceptional. The bartender, Alexis, and her colleagues were welcoming and very chill which just furthered the good vibe at WOLF. The kitchen is visible, so you can see some activity back there which I enjoyed. And, in true touristy fashion, I was super-geeked out to talk with Chef Marcel who was welcoming and gracious. I’m still pinching myself that I actually ate a meal that HE prepared himself.
This was absolutely the PERFECT ending to my LA trip. I can’t thank the staff and chef enough for this bucket- list meal. All this to say, PLEASE GO TO WOLF. I guarantee you will be thankful for the experience!
Catherine was wonderful. Attentive. Gave great suggestions. Loved the avocado desserts!
Great food and great service.
Great food with outstanding service. We were very excited to get to experience Wolf, as we are big fans of top chef! This restaurant did not disappoint. The people I was with frequently have problems finding delicious dinners on special occasions because of the special dietary needs. Wolf had many offerings on the menu that were appropriate as well as the chef’ was willing to make accommodations.Best of all of our server, Catherine. She was friendly and funny and knowledgeable about the food and wine. It was really a special evening. Can’t wait to go back.
Brilliant evening at the Mescal dinner! So fun!! Lots of energy in the room! This was a communal table set up with a prix fixe all inclusive menu for $55. We tasted 5 courses of delicious Mexican food paired with 5 very diverse Mescals by Convite. I had the vegetarian menu which was superb, beautiful flavors and as good as the regular menu.
The service, considering how full the restaurant was and that it was Wolf’s first attempt at this type of dinner was friendly and constant, and the pacing was good. Best dishes were the Ceviche Tostada, the veggie version of the Wagyu Cachette and the Horchata Ice Cream with Churros paired with Pox, an intriguing traditional drink from Chiapas.
What a creative, thoughtful and gorgeously executed (& fun) tasting menu and paring!!! Cannot wait to see what’s “next”!!!!!
I had an amazing time hosting a bridal shower here! The food and atmosphere was great! I definitely plan to come back in the near future.
Delicious, beautifully-plated food. Friendly service and great cocktails.
Comfort food at the highest level. Bread with pan drippings is sinful. Brussels sprouts, potatoes, chicken, and beets were outstanding. Service was friendly and attentive. A bit noisy, but we could still have a conversation. We will definitely return.
Very good place to eat and try different food. I loved it
