This restaurant is permanently closed. Located in the heart of the Melrose/Fairfax District, WOLF is a neighborhood restaurant featuring Seasonal Modern California Cuisine. Celebrity Chef Marcel Vigneron's Cuisine is heavily influenced by our city's diverse culture as well as his extensive travels throughout the globe. The brunch was excellent. The fact that they have pork roll made it exceptional! Can’t wait to come back and try their dinner menu!

I really loved the atmosphere at Wolf. Our bartender Micah(sp) was great and made fabulous drinks. We didn’t have to wait long for our table and I liked that Chef Marcel was in the restaurant inspecting every plate that came out. I thought the cracked potatoes were very tasty. My steak was good but a tad overcooked but I enjoyed my girlfriend’s chicken and the brussels sprouts. Great spot to kick off your night.

Best meal I've ever had in my life!! And let's not even talk about the cocktail driks.....AMAZING!! Staff members are super friendly and helpful. As soon as you walk into the restaurant you feel welcome, to me that's a really big deal. One of the best experiences my husband and I have had at a restaurant. We will most definitely go back :)

The menu is adventurous (in a good way). Flavor profiles and cookery is on point. We loved every moment of it / the food was exceptionally good. Everyone at our table said they'd be back the next time they're in town.

Wolf has wonderful food And service...menu is not large but changes sometimes...that said we would hate to lose any of our favs included Cesar salad, lamb burger, steak, the best olives and pate in town

We were seated in the over-flow space (it seems to be a taco restaurant by day and opened via sliding barn door to Wolf for evening dining). As there are no soft furnishings/rugs/curtains to dampen sound, the sound level was ridiculously loud.

First time-went for a wine pairing tasting menu featuring Italian wines. Best pairing ever--even had fish with a Chianti. Definitely will be back!

It was our first visit and it was a "special" wine tasting dinner. Advertising was for two seatings - 6 PM and 8:30 PM. Our reservation was for the first seating. We arrived at 5:45 and the door was closed. They opened exactly at 6 and we were the only couple entering, The other approximately 20 guests arrived within next 20 minutes. The chef introduced the Italian winemaker who supposed to describe the wine and the rules for pairing wine with served food. He described a little the first 2 wines and they served the first 2 courses. The "winemaker" after the 3rd course said a few words about the next wines...nothing about pairing... just before serving the last 5th course desert, they started collecting the credit card, because it was already 8 PM. The food was not bad and the small portions were fine - it was "wine tasting" ! But the 1 dcl of wine served in the cheap glasses which one wasn't able to swirl at WINE TASTING? The wine was not bad, but definitely nothing too interesting for the $85.00 + tax and gratuity and $6.50 "for the kitchen.
I don't mind the price, but the food was served almost cold and when I asked for a second glass to taste a little more, I was charged extra...? At the WINE TASTING DINNER? They certainly didn't served OPUS ONE or any $200.00 CABERNET...
Maybe will try the restaurant for their regular dinner, but certainly not for the Wine Tasting.

We were so disappointed by this special "vino e cibo" dinner. The food was truly bad, and the wines were mostly undrinkable. For a wine dinner where the vintner was in attendance, it was odd that the pours were tiny, with no refills. While we love Marcel's energy, this dinner at least was a total miss. Additionally, the staff, while nice, were completely uncoordinated and seemed not to know what they were serving. For one dish, my server told me I was being served fish, when the dish was actually a gnudi without fish at all. Just an off night.

I took my 17-year-old son for Sunday brunch. He had the chicken and waffles and went away very satisfied. I had the golden eggs - Very creative and delicious. We shared the crack potatoes. Don’t order them, they are totally addictive. You won’t be able to live without them

LOVED IT!
Our waitress (forgot her name) was very knowledgeable and passionate. Every single plate were thorough. Would definitely recommend and go back! And maybe meet Marcel, ha!

This was a rare find. Rare because every plate of food brought to my table seemed to be designed. The salad was skillful, the entre was artful, and the dessert was pure bliss. Delicious is the overall word for my dining experience. Very friendly host and wait staff. The noise level was a bit higher than I would have preferred but this didn’t take away from the full ambiance of the venue. The restaurant is only a few blocks from my home so I’ll be back.

We started with drinks and the pork cheeks. They were very good, but the sauce was very salty.
Next we had the chicken and I had the pork belly both were awesome, but the pork belly was my favorite. And for you Top Chef fans, of course it had foam.
As a side, we had the peppers. Also surprisingly good and a huge portion. Plenty for 3or4 people. I was too lazy to remove the stems and still enjoyed the dish.
The staff was very attentive and knowledgeable.
All in all, a great night out.
