A “special event” in the lounge dominated the whole building with music and noise so that it was difficult to talk with our friends. The food was fine.

It was absolutely fantastic. The Happy Hour Fried Chicken with mashed potatoes was enough for a family ! ! ! And the Fish & Chips were likewise as good!! The service and ambience was superb. I will highly recommend to all - one of the BEST Happy Hours in the desert :))

We have eaten at Willie's many times, both in the bar area and the restaurant. This was our first time to book for Sunday afternoon tea. Our expectation was for an elegant and refined dining experience with the opportunity to reconnect with old friends. Upon entering, we were confronted with loud, amplified music/singing...which by itself was bad enough, but the quality of the singing was equally upsetting. Willie's has an obligation to inform customers as to what they can expect, beyond a description of the available tea and sandwiches. Afternoon tea at Willie's is something we would prefer to forget and we will not be returning.

The music you heard was part of a rehearsal for a special performance by local high school students from Music Theatre University (MTU), a fundraising event we host just eight times a year. While the rehearsal may have disrupted your tea experience, the final performance that evening was truly spectacular and enjoyed by over 80 guests. We deeply regret the inconvenience caused and understand this was not the elegant and refined experience you were expecting. We should have communicated more clearly, and we’re very sorry your visit coincided with this rare occurrence. I hope that this isolated incident will not keep you from returning. Willie

We recently returned to Willie’s in Palm Desert, and once again, it exceeded all expectations. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and elegance. But the real star of the evening was Luis, our waiter—who we were thrilled to discover was the same exceptional server we had last year! Luis is the definition of professional—attentive without being intrusive, incredibly knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly. He went above and beyond to make my husband’s birthday celebration truly unforgettable. From thoughtful touches to flawless service, he made our entire family feel cared for and welcomed. The food, as always, was spectacular—every dish beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The ambiance, the service, and the attention to detail are what keep us coming back year after year. Thank you, Willie’s (and especially Luis), for making such meaningful memories with us. We can’t wait to return!

Excellent experience at Willie’s. Food was delicious. Service was also great but Willie’s had a unique style of service that lends itself to a slower dining experience and may not be everyone’s cup of tea. Highly recommend!
