Staff were fabulous, the decor and atmosphere is lovely, but the food was nothing special. The lamb was somewhat on the fatty side, and the sea bream didn’t have much flavour. A nice evening nonetheless.
Outstanding food quality, one of the best in London . The set menus are extraordinary value when you consider the quality of ingredients and cooking and the area, a must go to restaurant!
The quality of the food and the cooking was excellent. The menu was not particularly exciting but we did enjoy our food. Would certainly be very happy to return here
nice one， duck is great!
Had an absolutely wonderful meal, the staff were excellent and food was fantastic. It's all about the little touches and nothing was left unattended. Very relaxed atmosphere and great style.
Every element perfectly balanced. What a fabulous dining experience. No stuffiness, but a beautiful and elegant setting with incredible food.
Consistently excellent food and service every time I go.
Good value set lunch on a Sunday. Food excellent. Wine waiter had poor knowledge. Service a bit indifferent overall.
Delicious food and excellent service. Highly recommend.
Big fan of Anthony’s cooking. Beautiful and delicious with plenty of local produce ingredients. I am coming back.
We had the pre theatre dinner menu, its well priced and the food was delicious. The service was excellent.
The service was excellent but we were surprised that the bread came between the starter and the main instead of before the starter. We were also surprised that there was no potato offered.
My first visit to Wild Honey though I have previously eaten in that space in its previous incarnations. I just love the space in this restaurant. My friend and I ate from the pre-theatre menu and it was a real treat. I had the cod tartare, the lamb dish and the choux dessert. My friend chose different dishes and all were delicious. Pre-dinner fresh bread and butter and then a delicious cake and chocolate with coffee were all well received too, and unexpected.
Service was very attentive to ensure that we had good time to get to the theatre. We were highly delighted with the entire experience and look forward to returning.
I have written a review for TripAdvisor already. Our experience was not great. Food was very ho hum and expensive. Service was fine but impersonal. We live around the corner when we are in London when we are there breakfast out a great deal. We will be sticking to our usual haunts.
Such a great meal. Loved the starters! Superb service & ambiance. I ll be back very soon. Thank you Wild honey's team!
Wonderful! Food, service and setting all spot on. The bread and butter pudding was to die for! Great wine list and cocktails too.
Very busy but still good service and not too noisy. Food was good if a bit salty. Would return.
Went for breakfast - chose one item from the menu plus the continental buffet. Food was really good, plenty of selection to meet everyone's requirements.
We booked a table at 10.30am and were told the buffet was closed at 11an and we could no longer use it. We were given no warning it was closing and I was made to feel awkward for asking if I could get a pastry before it closed. We paid an extra £11 for the buffet to have a small bowl of yogurt and 2 small pastries.
The staff were pleasant and helpful, but while we were eating they cleared all the tables around us which made us feel like we had to rush. We were then told just after 11.30am we had to pay our bill (basically asking us to leave). If it was explained that the buffet ans restaurant would close at 11am, we wouldn't have chosen the buffet plus a menu item.
I left feeling disappointed that I had taken my mum there as a treat when she was visiting me, and we were made to feel rushed and awkward.
Probably the most attentive service I have experienced and really tasty food. Will definitely return.
The menu was odd in that there were very heavy first and second courses on the "lunch menu".
We had a three course set menu. Food was good. Menu choices were not great and having to pay for extra veg increases the bill.
Nice to have coffee in the Rose lounge where the ambiance and staff were good.
Excellent setting, tables and seating very comfortable, our waiter was very attentive, the food was very good, sea bream was too spicy for me, but overall food was well cooked and well presented. We would definitely go back and recommend to our family/friends. Would recommend you try the vermouth, excellent aperitif.
This was the2nd time I had visited Wild Honey, the service and the food was significantly worse than my first visit.
This was a great place to go to for a pre-theatre meal. The service was ourstanding and the ambience exceptional. We had the £23 per head meal and they added a service charge which was fine. The portions were on the small side but they provided delicious bread and a complementary extra desert. I had the cod and my husband had the liver both cooked to perfection and when we said we only had an hour they made certain that we were out in good time for the theatre. Can't wait to go again and spend more time there!
I booked a table for myself and my friends to celebrate their birthday before going to the theatre. The staff was all nice and polite, however, our mains were delayed by at least 35/40mins which spoilt the whole experience. We were then served inedible dishes... all undercooked, poor presentation... not great! The general manager came over to apologise but it was a bit too late I'm afraid. I didn't even finish my main course as it was very obvious it was rushed and just not very nice... Such a shame as it's such a beautiful restaurant!
Had a lovely chat with Anthony Demetree , his passion comes through and it is immediately obvious he cares about your experience.
One of the best restaurants I have visited in recent times.
Amazing food, incredible cocktails and the service was outstanding! Brought my dad for his birthday and they really made it a special occasion.
great new find. This is a super restaurant where we enjoyed very good cuisine and excellent service.
The contrast with Wild Honey’s previous and rather cosy premises could not be starker. Some of our party liked the brasserie element and some had mild reservations. Nobody complained though and the meals served were delicious and enjoyed by one and all (except for my wife, who preferred the earlier incarnation of the restaurant!).
Delicious but too expensive.
Please add music, too quiet.
Had a really good evening.
Great food and wine. Recommend.
The pretheater menu at Wild Honey St James is full of flavours and delicious ingredients. I always enjoy the food and the service is excellent.
The bill does mount up quite quickly if you get tempted to a side of veggies or the amazing little cake and truffle that comes with coffee.
I've been before with a different friend and I will definitely go again with others.
Lunch set menu: price not high but not low either. Starter and pudding pretty good at that price point; main disappointing: tiny portion; poorly cooked fish. Service very good: friendly and unfussy. Ambience also good. Odd choice of wine servings: 125, 500 or 750. So if you’re two at lunch and 125 each not enough but 250 too much, you’re stuck. Fair pricing though: linear across the sizes.
The food quality is wonderful and the waiters are
friendly and attentive
This was my first visit to the new incarnation of Wild Honey, after closing the Mayfair location and re-opening in the much larger, more vibrant, and slightly less quiet St James's location. I am delighted to say that apart from the location, and much more business lunch-orientated clientele, everything that makes Wild Honey such a great place has been retained. The food is at least as excellent, and the set menu represents some of the best value for high quality food available anywhere in London.
Terrific food and the most beautiful room but sadly Wild Honey's decor isnt as pretty as The Balcon (its predecessor in the location).
