We had the pre theatre menu which was good value, food well cooked and importantly the noise level was low enough that we could have conversations across the table.
Finally our waiter was excellent in sensibly talking us up but with veg that was in support of the main dish.

The pre-theatre dinner is good value, but the charges of £7 for a few potatoes on the a la carte menu and £6 for a small espresso are outrageous!

We’ve eaten at this venue when it was The Balcon and enjoyed it and were also great fans of the previous Wild Honey so looked forward to trying the new Wild Honey location. Maybe it was a bit of an off day but the service was a bit haphazard so not sure we would rush back but still enjoyed a leisurely time with friends.

This is a great restaurant, with the right level of formality, while at the same time being casual. Food is very good, but it was a bit busy when we visited on Friday lunchtime, which impacted on the ambiance and service. Thanks for a great meal.

The one outstanding aspect of this really lovely restaurant is the quality of the service. It’s genuinely outstanding. The staff are really terrific - friendly but discrete. The food was good although my beef had rather a lot of gristle. The wine was fine. We’ll return for sure.

We had the pre-theatre menu. Often these feel a bit rushed but at Wild Honey St James the service was excellent, the dining room is beautiful and the food was amazing! Highly recommend. Can't wait to return.

The terrine was the best that I have ever eaten!

The sourdough bread and butter was sublime!

The chocolate truffle served with my tea was scrumptious!

Yum, yum, yum!

This is a fantastic place. Beautiful interior, very lovely and caring waiters, really good choice, wonderful birthday desert. Went back every day of our stay in London we had enjoyed our first breakfast there. This restaurant has a really central location just next to Leicester Square, Trafalgar Square, Buckingham Palace ... It is very stylish like most Sofitels in the world. The ambience is wonderful. It makes you feel good. You can relax, sit in quiet, have a quiet conversation, but also bring your kids. All the waiters very very kind and made us feel very welcome. We will definitely recommend this place.

Superb service - attentive put not overpowering. The food was excellent both in terms of taste and presentation. Some of us had the set menu which offered very good value for money - the a la carte prices were a little high, particularly for dessert. When it came up in conversation that my aunt was shortly to celebrate her 85th birthday, the restaurant provided a beautiful arrangement of cake/fruit/ macaron as a surprise. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will certainly return in the future.

Disappointing. We had enjoyed Wild Honey in its prior location on St George Street and very much looked forward to our meal. Alas, the new space in the Sofitel, while attractive, seemed too much for the staff, who were polite enough but whose attention was difficult to attract. The music playing in the background was odd, to say the least, more suited to a bar than a fine restaurant. The food was ok but nothing special and certainly not worth the prices. Not terrible but there are some many other choices in London and so we won't be returning.

Lovely setting at Wild Honey, with tasty dishes to match. Glad to have gone with the ice cream from the set menu which came with a piece of honey comb freshly cut from a frame while at the table. Honey by name, Honey by nature.

Impeccable food. Service OK as we had a show and needed to leave at a specified time and told the waiter. Food came out 10m before we had to leave. Top notch food though.

We had the winter tasting menu and all dishes were fantastic. Each dish was paired with a wine and as we prefer red wine they accommodated this and swapped out a white wine for a lighter red with the sea bass. It was great value for money and just the right portion size. Dishes came out in good timing and we didn’t feel rushed in any way. Also loved the decor.

Visited with the girls for the early supper menu on Dec. 27th. It's a beautiful room and service was formal yet friendly. The food was excellent value at £27 for 3 courses, and great quality. Wine and drinks are typically expensive, though £6 for coffee and tea is excessive. The bread was a let down, and the atmosphere too quiet and reserved for easy chat.

Very little atmosphere, likely due to the time of year (just after christmas). Service was excellent. Very attentative. Food was good although I don’t think the signature wild honey ice cream is good value for money.

The restaurant is divided into two by a high barrier and the part around the Pall Mall entrance and bar was entirely lacking in atmosphere compared with the area adjacent to the hotel entrance ... not helped by the subdued decorative lighting in the high ceiling. The only immediate light for the table came from the candle on each place setting.

The desserts in particular were overpriced for what was served: in my case, two small scoops of sorbet (about four small mouthfuls) accompanied by a single orange wafer (described as a ‘biscuit’) about half a mm thick. I had eaten this within two minutes and the price was £9.00. The honey ice was of similar size with a price tag of £11.00.

One would not expect a hearty meal in such a restaurant but compared with other offerings in Mayfair over recent days I think customers deserve appreciably more from the surroundings and the food.

Christmas Day lunch which made the rating for value for money irrelevant.
Lovely service from charmimg staff. Food was very good and exceeded expectations.
The food service at the start was slow but they recovered well, the starter took quite a while but after that was evenly paced. I wouldnt say the food was piping hotbut it was well conceived and executed and very tasty.
I would very much return again.

15 minute wait for our first drinks, then our starter, main and second drink came quickly, then a long wait for our dessert.
