Had to wait 10 minutes although we had reservations. No waiting area--right at the front door so we were always in someone's way. Fish n Chips hot and good. Barbecue beef n sausage lukewarm. Beef OK. Sausage unedible. Glass of wine mediocre and expensive. Upstairs outside seating in shade was nice. Service was slow but we were comped for our drinks due to the poor meal, which was appreciated. However, poor value for a pricy lunch. We don't plan to return.

It was an exceptionally busy day, but reservation was honored, service good, food good. I think on a less crazy day all would be even better. Our server was excellent, with the exception of fulfillment of a substitution request. The ribs were very good. I had fish and chips that were crispy, hot and easy to handle.

I was a bit disappointed by the food, given the slightly high-end price. The blackened mahi was supposed to come on a brioche bun, but those buns tasted like regular buns...no where near as good as the brioche buns they sell at Whole Foods and King Soopers. For the price, they should have been better. The fries were mediocre. My husband like the brisket, but not the cole slaw. I liked the cole slaw and ate it, while he ate the fries. Service was very good, but the table was sticky.

We brought friends for a birthday dinner and mentioned this on our reservation. Unfortunately no one said anything so we were disappointed. We also found the service somewhat slow. My bbq ribs were not even warm when they were brought out. Fries and mahi sandwich were good.

It was so much more than what we saw when we first entered the restaurant. It looked like just a bar on one side and booths on the other. However, there were extensive eating spaces upstairs. Including outdoor spaces. We sat at a table under an umbrella outdoors on the upper level. Servers were friendly and efficient. The food was very tasty and nicely presented.

I took 6 of my son’s friends out. It was perfect. The cocktails were fun and delicious and the food was great for a bunch of guys. Burnt ends and cornbread apps were great, brisket sandwich and stick chicken sandwich were fabulous.

Nice Tavern, busy due to move in week for the university. We were seated upstairs at a table that was essentially in the hallway between the roof top bar and the patio, not the greatest ambiance and rather hot but there were fans blowing. We ordered the butcher board for 2 which was very generous. We found the ribs and brisket tough, the pulled pork was delicious and I loved the home made pickles and coleslaw. We were given a round of drinks to Compensate for ribs and brisket which was appreciated. We were told that the BBQ is Texas style and is meant to be firm. I prefer my ribs falling off the bone tender. Would recommend sticking with the pulled pork.

We had bad weather when we were there so we had to wait a little (<10 minutes) for our table due to people who would have been sitting outside now had to sit inside. But that was not their fault. The hostess was super friendly (which made the unexpected wait better) and once seated our server was also super friendly and attentive. Order was taken promptly, appetizers and drinks arrived promptly, and main courses arrived soon after appetizer was finished - all good timing. We had wanted to sit on the roof but could not due to bad weather. So we sat inside which is a little noisier than we would have liked. But all in all, an excellent dinner and experience. West End Tavern is one of our favorite places in downtown Boulder - we've been there plenty of times and will go plenty times more :-)

The food was decent. Our service was spotty. We received the appetizer and our son’s food 15 min after the other 3 meals we ordered.
