Hamachi Wasabi Carpaccio
Very, very good sushi. Authentic and high quality.
It was great. I wish they did omakase instead of chefs sushi but I understand that they have to cater to tourist
Wasabi disappointed it wasnt more handmade given price point.
Uni was excellent.
Sushi special for the price was 4 stars wish 2 or 3 of the pieces were higher quality tho remaining pieces were fantastic.
Always a go-to when in hawaii. One of the best places I have ever been for authentic sushi.
Food was excellent and the value for the fresh seafood exceeded cost. The wait staff was professional and provided wonderful recommendations. I will come back to dine here.
Great find. Fish was fresh, tasty.
This Japanese joint tucked away in a nice motel on Beachwalk serves the best Edomae sushi and locally caught raw fish in Waikiki. Just stick with that and you can’t go wrong!!
Food and service was great. Ordered a variety of dishes and enjoyed every bite!
Best Sushi I have ever had. Amazing!
very accomodating and knowledgeable of gluten free
Quaint atmosphere with interesting, creative menu selections. Highly recommended!
Great food, excellent presentation, friendly courteous and prompt service.
With blue water chemistry and delightful romantic light we dined in exhilarating tastes of fresh seafood with decadent flair
Sushi was fabulous.
This small restaurant, tucked into a quiet, airy hotel in the middle of Waikiki, brought me back as a repeat customer today. Despite a relatively simple menu, the gourmet level of artistry that these chefs deliver satisfies my every need for Japanese cuisine. The deluxe sushi and sashimi plates, although pricy, are worth every dollar. The restaurant itself is small but quiet and provides a relatively intimate setting good for a small group of friends, or a date. Make sure to ask if there is a special on sakes that night!
Helpful staff very reasonably priced fresh sushi
Great quality of food and service. Very reasonable prices. Miso cod on par with Nobu.
We love going to Wasabi Bistro, they have a great selection of foods and everything is well-prepared and very tasty.
You need to go here… It’s off the beaten path so they don’t charge “main strip” prices, but they easily could for the quality of the food they service. We got tempura and then the chef’s choice sushi and every last bit of it was phenomenal. I’m from Seattle where I’m also surrounded by very good sushi options and this place stacks up with the very best of them.
Service is excellent. Staff so attentive. Server gives great advice on specials. Their daily specials are always the best. We had all of the specials lat night which were: kauai crispy shrimp (very good), grilled hamachi collar had a lot of meat, and the steak tartare, which was also excellent. We also had the miso eggplant, which is half of the large round eggplant served with miso on top. We ordered the tofu salad and had various sushi. The Otoro (blue fin tuna, the best) sushi was so fresh, so buttery. The fish just melted in your mouth. We also had a bottle of sake. We live in Pearl City, but come here at least a few times a year.
This place was absolutely divine. The food, service and ambiance was top tier. Highly suggest this restaurant!!
Food was amazing! Service is great, would definitely recommend!
Amazing food and service!! Small place with a great atmosphere
We went on our honeymoon and had a wonderful experience. Fantastic food, incredible atmosphere and wonderful service!
Authentic. Fantastic. Lovely place
Honestly the best sushi experience I ever had. Would come back or recommend to anyone who loves good sushi.
A must when in Waikiki! Our meal was delicious and the service was wonderful!
Wasabi Bistro was very good the sushi was.extra fresh and tasted, the tempura is some of the best on the island.
We were visiting Honolulu. Had heard about it and wanted to try it. Staff was amazing. Some foods they did better than others. The vegetable tempura and the gyoza were bland and tasteless. The teriyaki chicken and the Otoro were fantastic.
If I lived in Honolulu I wouldn’t write this review. I’d want this place to stay as under the radar as possible so I could always get a reservation. Without question one of the best meals (not just best sushi) we’ve ever enjoyed and we eat a lot of sushi. Wait staff was attentive and knowledgeable. Steered us to a terrific sake and great dining choices. Do not miss the Baked Scallop Special but everything was great and beautifully served. Even something “simple” like shrimp tempura was perfectly prepared with a incredibly light crispy crust. Find this place!
We has such an amazing experience! The food was absolutely incredible and the service was equally amazing. Every dish we had was so good it’s hard to pick a favorite! We had such a great time our first time that we went back again the next night. Such a great hidden gem!
Our second time visit. Excellent food and excellent service !
Very good food, just not sure it is worth a trip into Waikiki. Our family did a staycation in Waikiki and we wanted to try places we wouldn't normally go to. We met some friends that were also staying in Waikiki and had a great meal. Everything was fresh, delicious and well-presented. I am just not sure it was a good value. It was certainly expensive for Hawaii. Nearly $25 for a 3-4 oz portion of misoyaki butterfish, with absolutely nothing else on the plate as an example. For these prices I would have expected a slightly higher end experience. But absolutely nothing to complain about, but just don't think I would come back.
Food was quite good, though wasn’t a fan of the sushi rice personally. A bit too hard and not enough vinegar. Quality of the seafood was top notch. Loved the ootoro topped with caviar. Sad that what was called the signature dessert was not available.
Friendly, efficient kitchen and staff, delicious food! Validated parking at the Bank of Hawaii garage.
We arrived a little early, but we’re seated right away. Nice partitions between tables not only made us feel safe, but also cut the overall noise down. The crispy rice and spicy tuna was a hit, and sushi was all very fresh. We’re definitely returning!
Great experience and server (Cindy) was excellent. I will plan to visit again.
Awesome sushi / sashimi - try the otoro sashimi and uni sushi!
Wonderful! Always perfect food and service.
Great food and service. Sashimi and sushi was delious
